Making Fun Easter Egg: Misers

Postby ChanceDelTaco » Sun May 27, 2018 4:29 am

So I’m sure most of you have seen the new Funko documentary on Netflix (Making Fun) and along with all of the awesome stories we heard, we also got to see some cool behind the scenes stuff in the HQ. One thing in particular caught my eye and is driving me crazy.

In Brian’s office (I’m assuming it’s in the HQ) there are two very easily seen Mega Dorbz of the little miser minion dancers from A Year Without a Santa Claus. Heat Miser and Snow Miser have always been some of my favorite characters in all of pop culture and I have never before seen a figure representing those little guys that dance around with them during their musical numbers, so this obviously made my heart jump

I would attach a picture here but I’m still new so I can’t quite figure it out, but it’s right around 43 min in where you can see them best.

Anyways, does anyone know anything about these? Is there any chance we could see them as regular production dorbz? Will they forever live as prototypes in Brian’s office? Can anyone personally put me on the phone with Brian to find out how much he wants for it? lol lol

I noticed those as well, the two pack from the Funko shop of the normal sized ones are still a couple of my favorite dorbz ever so I wondered what the story was behind those ones on his desk as well

I remember seeing those at the premiere as well as a Mega Dorbz Freddy. I would love to get my hands on some of those, but I’m not holding my breath. Ever since the issues with them a couple of years ago we haven’t heard anything about them.

There was a two-pack of them a few years back during the 8 Days If Christmas on the Funko-Shop. I doubt that any Mega Dorbz (or even Dorbz XL) are on the way for them, so they’re the only option.

If you didn’t know, there is also the VYNL set, which is probably easier to get your hands on.

This is what I was thinking as well. Just like the giant Batman at the store I doubt we'll see them but they are really awesome!

Oh trust me I have this and the Pop set and probably soon the Vynl ones too. But the ones in the doc are actually the little dancer minions that sing the songs with the misers, something which they’ve never done before. I want them so badly so that I can set them up with my other miser collections.

Yeah I have tried to get rid of most of my dorbz these days but the misers will forever be a Christmas decoration in my house. I would just love to have these guys to go with them too, but I don’t know if they’ll ever get made

I still don't see them, I see the Snow and Heat Miser Mega Dorbz and I see what look to be Huck Dorbz around the base of Heat Miser, but I don't see the "little miser minion dancers", where are they?

Edit- here's a pic of the Huck set you see at the base of Heat Miser, are these what you thought were the minion dancers?

Heat Miser Dancers wear the hat which is what is on Brian's desk.

Image

And then the Snow Miser Dancer is the other one hence the goofy face.

AHA! Now I see what the fuss is about :-) It's been years since I saw the movie, clearly I need to brush up on it! Thanks for the clarification. So a Mega Dorbz of those guys would be about life-size then? lol

I don't remember the dancers either so I had to Google it lol Then I saw the hat on the Heat Miser dancers and it hit me what the difference was.

There is also what looks like a much larger Thanos Dorbz in his tin toy Marvel case, but it could just be the angle.
