Unproduced Dorbz

Postby CaseyJones14 » Tue Mar 31, 2020 12:31 pm

I was randomly looking at old Dorbz pictures and came across a couple that were never actually produced. This XL Batman never came out, and the paint job on Rocket Raccoon looks quite a bit different than the one that was made.

Others that I can think of...

-Scooby Dum (Gemini released 6, but he was never mass produced)
-Supergirl Bombshell (Hot Topic exclusive that was supposedly damaged when producing and never released)
-Mega Miser Dorbz on Brian's desk (Doubt these were ever going to be made, but really cool!)
-Mega Bullseye Batman in Brian's office (Once again not sure if these ever were going to be produced)

I'll see if I can grab some pictures for all these later on, but was curious if anybody knew of anything else that I'm missing?

Oh boy! I would have really liked that XL Batman! I'm not too sure if that XL Robin ever came out, but I'd like to get one of those as well!

Really like the minimalistic look Dobz have. I think they make the best desk companions! :freddy2:

I actually just got the Robin and Rocket yesterday :D

As you can tell the paint job on Rocket is quite a bit lighter.

There was a Yellowjacket (as in the Ant-Man villain) dorbz that never came out and the Ant-Man that we did end up getting looks very different from this one.

Very cool! I love the history behind unproduced items from companies. LEGO has lots of interesting unreleased sets and themes

Wow this is an interesting tidbit. Also, if that is the one from the MCC anniversary box, the concept art for Ant-Man is a bit different from what we actually got (particularly the mouth area).

A few limited runs would probably sell so that stores didn’t have them sitting around for two years.
