Re: Marvel Mystery Minis
I pulled 4 from the top of a case today at Hot Topic. I picked Back left, Back Right, Middle and Front Left. I got Thor, Green Goblin, Punisher and Ultron! I love these mini's. Im going to try and get them all for sure! Very well done and the bobble just gives them even more character!

Am I the only one who decided not to buy any because they're bobble heads?

Re: Marvel Mystery Minis
Went into a small toy store and saw a bunch of these. Grabbed a few at random without shaking them or anything . Got spiderman, silver surfer, Thor, and 1/144 Loki. Thor's hammer was broken off and Loki's weapon was terribly bent and he had the really long neck. So a little disappointing but I can do a quick fix.

I rather have my marvel minis with springs as opposed to none at all, I understand if you don't want the springs, I am just happy we got a marvel series.

unfortunately so many are broken, heads missing, arms not on. I just save them up and return them to the store. The ones that are done right are awesome

Re: Marvel Mystery Minis
While I was at hot topic, I saw a couple shaking each box. I don't know what they were trying to do by shaking them. On some of the minis, you can tell from the weight of the box what figure might be inside.
I also noticed that the plastic bag on these are mostly opened even though the boxes are sealed. Between the open bag and people shaking boxes (or even in transit), I am not surprised there are so many broken ones. The Marvel Mystery Minis are more of a hard plastic as opposed to some of the other minis which are a little more rubbery.

Just out of curiosity, why did you decide to buy your cases from Hot Topic and not from an online retailer?

Just like standard cases are missing HT exclusives. Only way to get all characters and variants would be to buy both HT and standard blind boxes.

I got Green Goblin in a HT case and he's not on the back of the box either, so I think you can get all of the pieces from there. Just HT will have the Exclusives randomly inside though. Cause Ed got regular Green Hulk too! Just saying!

Re: Marvel Mystery Minis
I wrote down everyone's tips on where to find the Hot Topic Exclusives & Chases, and wouldn't you know it,when I got to Hot Topic today, they took all of the boxes out of the case and had them sitting there. The only blind boxes they ever did this too,all the rest are still in the case boxes. That totally ruined my strategy and I about cried standing there.
I bought some commons off of someone on here and am waiting for them,so I was hoping I could pull some that I won't be getting, and I ended up pulling 2 Thors,2 GITD Hulks, and a Silver Surfer which I have all 3 on the way.I sold a Thor & Hulk to a friend of mine,so I did recoup some of my money. But I did get lucky and I also pulled an ULTRON.Still sucks though, because I was hoping to get Thanos instead and some I won't have like any of the Deadpools,Galactus,Green Goblin,Phoenix,Green Hulk, and Dr. Doom.

Is anyone else having trouble with their Spiderman looking straight down? I tried to use some needlenose pliers to tweak the spring a bit, but I couldn't get it to work. Any suggestions?

Re: Marvel Mystery Minis
I bought two of these today, and while I was hoping for Scarlett Witch and Thor, I got Silver Surfer and Loki. I bought mine from Barnes and Nobles and when I opened my Loki I thought he was in two pieces, seeing as his box was SUPER damaged ( All of the boxes where damaged, there was no real winner there) and his bag as opened. Thankfully, he's ok. He just has a paint mark on his face that isn't *to* noticeable unless you're right up on him. My Silver Surfer is fine too.
I almost didn't see these because they weren't even in a display box, they were just thrown on the shelf. I wouldn't have found them if I hadn't been looking for my Winter Solider POPs.

I bought a few from HT and got two Goblins! I have the best blind luck. (sarcasm). My Galactus had his head broken off but it was easily fixed with some glue and hope.
I did get the XForce Deadpool and Thanos, so that's nice. The HT Phoenix will be the bane of my existence for the coming weeks.

Did you use tips posted here on the board or did you randomly pick boxes?

I remember reading the tips but I forgot them when I was in the store. I definitely bought the corners of the top and bottom layers. I didn't keep track of what box was what when I checked out. If that makes any sense.

Re: Marvel Mystery Minis
Bought a case off eBay and pulled ultron as my rare. He was in the front right top position. Only had two damaged pieces which were Thor (really bad) helmet, hammer and arm all fell off and a scarlet witch whose head wasn't secure. Can't complain too bad though I would have preferred a 1/144 Loki

I just got the red mini Deadpool with arms crossed. Is it just mine or is the head a lot brighter red than the body? The colors don't match well at all.

Because I wanted the Exclusives. Now all I need from a non ht case are 3

I'm planning on picking up a HT case soon since I just got a 15% off code and I can still take advantage of the buy 1 get 1 half off sale. Anyone have a case layout?

That makes sense. Too bad you can't get some type of bulk discount from them or a case price. Which 3 do you need?

An example is your charred walker you have in your signature is a 2/24 out of a non hot topic case but he is a 1/144 in a hot topic case. I have both but they look exactly the same. My thought was buying ht case and then I can buy the 3 common pieces off ebay relatively cheap.

Re: Marvel Mystery Minis
So I was at B&N last night and picked up 2 Marvel blind boxes and pulled a 1/72 Thanos and a 1/144 Deadpool! I've never been so lucky!
Did I read somewhere that there was a typo on regular or HT boxes that had the ratio wrong on one of the figures? I thought I saw something about it a while back but that was before I started collecting these and was paying attention

Dude, that's awesome.
The HT boxes are different in that they show the regular Phoenix being a 2/24 when in reality she is 1/24. They also do not show Goblin but I bought several from HT and saw a few Goblins. I could be wrong, but I think that's the only difference besides the exclusives.
