Re: game of thrones mistery minis?
My Target has also sold through a lot of Mystery Minis in the week since they set up their Funko endcap. The display boxes of GoT and Disney Minis were empty, Walking Dead box was mostly empty, and they had sold half of their POP!s. Glad to see the success.
POP! Count - 64
Mystery Mini Count - 327
Mini Wants: Zootopia Nick Wilde
Minis to Trade: 1/144 Jaime Lannister, 1/72 WALL-E, Robbie the Robot, Bloody Predator, King Joffrey, Carl Grimes, Diablo, Super Mutant, Jason Voorhees (Series 3)

Re: game of thrones mistery minis?
I visited 2 walmarts, and the back right bottom corner yielded a Glow WW (yay!) and a green Dragon (meh.), which may mean someone got there before me?
I tried to be nice both times I pulled, and replaced each with an upside down box, so no one would assume they were first to get there.
This Board is rubbing off on me.

Tad.... That's a good idea!! I couldn't figure out a way to tell other collectors I already pulled that box, flipping over is a great idea! Thanks!

Anyone know if there will be a series 2? I thought (hoped) so around SDCC because of the new Tywin and Renyl molds but I haven't heard anything.

Does anybody have a breakdown of the 24 pack case? Previous links in the thread appear to be dead.

Shoot. Dany and the chase are in the middle row (not column, as you face the display). I just don't remember if they are on the right or left.
but the rest of the packout is two of each, and the pairs are together. Meaning the the top row would be a pair of (for example) Tyrion next to a pair of (say...) Ned
Hope that helps a bit.

wish I saw the theory earlier....will have to try it out since I've given up on finding the chases...Hopefully this works.

Re: game of thrones mistery minis?
For more experienced funko collectors, are editions released yearly? Have they ever had a series and not made more editions?
I'm curious about GoT Edition 2, but have not seen any news. Someone told me they don't think it sold well in stores and they probably won't make more.
I know they had the In Memoriam SDCC edition. I'm only looking from the light-colored direwolf in that one. (Lady?)
I'd love to prepare for a new release. I missed this edition in stores mostly. I kept seeing empty display boxes around me.

I suspect they've just been falling behind on everything (cough Firefly cough) and figure they can afford to ignore these for awhile, given that the GoT fan base won't be vanishing for at least two years.
They have to have sold tens of thousands of these Mystery Minis, given that they were in Barnes & Noble stores and HotTopic and then Target.
There will be more.

Re: game of thrones mistery minis?
I can't test this theory for myself. My Target doesn't have any cases right now, my Walmart has nothing, and B&N doesn't display the minis in the case they come in, so everything has been mixed up.
Too soon?

Found 3 untouched boxes at local walmarts this week, pulled back right lower box in each and got 2 Daenerys and 1 Robb Stark. Still missing just Jaime for my full set.

Pulled another Robb at target from the lower back right spot so I'm a bit confused on the "theory". The last 4 pulls i got Daeny, Daeny, Robb, Robb from 4 untouched cases. Perhaps there is 2 different case layouts?

I've done the target thing twice, (well, three times - but I was pretty sure the third was not "untouched"). I pulled Jaime and Drogo.

Re: game of thrones mistery minis?
I wonder if your stores are getting new shipments, or if they've been sitting there that long? I could barely find them in any stores near me in the beginning of December. I was even encountering empty display boxes, so they were cleared out right before I got there.

Ha. I can never remember when im at the store if its right or left. I buy both. One has always been the rare, the other...not so much. Then I get home, swear I will remember the one that has the rare, and then immediately forget.

Re: game of thrones mistery minis?
I got mine from ebay, and I was worried they would look like knock offs or have some flaw, but they don't.
They match with the others I got right out of the boxes I bought. I love having different colors of the same base model. I wonder how they would do the 2 others.

Nymeria - glow in the dark and Shaggy Dog - metallic. There, solved it. Funko can donate the proceeds from my intellectual property to orphans in Greenland.

Re: game of thrones mistery minis?
Anyone that has seen the new minis, what do you think?
I was mostly into the wolves & dragons, and I'm very disappointed .
I loved that the models matched the people a bit, large heads, big eyes - I don't understand why they made such unmatching new dragon models.
And didn't finish all of the wolves.
I'm into the animals, so I really hoped we would get maybe the 3 eyed raven, the missing wolves, etc.

The dragons are meant to match the larger dragon pops

Is it just me or did Series 2 look a bit different from Series 1? Maybe not, but to me the design just didn't quite feel the same.

from the concept art we saw the characters look the same, but yea no more wolves and the dragon is totally different. Kinda weird.

Never mind, nobody answer. I just saw it and learned it was part of the leaked catalog. I will say that Im happy they are not reprinting any of the new figures from the in memorium set in color.

Well, Joffrey is being re-painted in color and pair with season 4 blu-Ray at wal-mart.

Yeah, but he is not part of the new set. I like all the characters they picked for this set, some I didnt expect, but I like the choices. Two I cant identify, but will ask for assistance when ban is lifted.
