Nightmare Before Christmas 25th

Great things come in mysterious miniature or pint sized packages, but which great thing will it be? It's all a mystery until you open one. Then the fun begins.

Nightmare Before Christmas 25th

Postby Els » Sun Oct 25, 2020 9:06 pm

I saw these today when I was shopping at Walgreens. I can't find them on the Funko App but a people are selling them on Ebay as Nightmare Before Christmas 25th Anniversary set. These boxes have a Walgreens exclusive sticker on them, I am not sure if they are selling them at other places.

I initially only bought one because the shelf label said they were 9.99 but when I checked out they were only 6.99 so I went back and bought a second one.

They do not come in a box like other mini's. They are in a one layer tray.

Yeah, Oogie glows. Make sure you check their Halloween display, that's where I found these.

Very cool. But I think these also were released earlier, not sure though if there are subtle differences. :)

Is this another re-release to please a retailer, a la all the old Hot Topic exclusives that have been flooding the market since summer started? I think it is a troubling sign that they would release old figures in a new box with different ratios than before. This is not good for people who like the collectible/resale aspect of this hobby. I get that Funko is free to release anything that hasn't been vaulted (and has even done that with Star Wars), but there has to be a limit if the idea of rarity is going to matter at all. Marketplaces work on the understanding and expectations of those involved and Funko seems to like rewriting the rules.

Good to know and will have to keep a eye out for them. I like the fact that Oogie glows. They are perfect to build a small town for Halloween next year. :freddy3:
