Marvel Minis - Opinions on appearances

Great things come in mysterious miniature or pint sized packages, but which great thing will it be? It's all a mystery until you open one. Then the fun begins.

Marvel Minis - Opinions on appearances

Postby Squird » Wed Apr 16, 2014 12:20 pm

I know people have had issues with breakage and springs and I've seen pictures of a very long necked Silver Surfer, so my question to Mini collectors (not short people) is:

What are the better looking - best executed Marvel Mini's?

Hard to say. I don't have them all yet. Punisher seems well executed. Galactus and Ultron are pretty sweet, too.

Thor, Spidey, Deadpool are executed perfectly to me, didn't have any breaking, paint, spring, or standing issues.

Spiderman and Green Goblin are cool for me. I have them and a Punisher but he doesn't stand up straight. I've noticed this with my mini Khal also.

I'm planning on a tiny spending binge this weekend and mini's are on the menu. I really wanted to get into the Marvel Mini's, but after seeing the issues, I've cooled a little. Was hoping that the ones I want, Spidey, Green Goblin, Galactus and Doom, were on the 'well done' side of the ledger.

I only came across a few long springs and only two broken pieces, both of which were Galactus. I think these figures are great. It's an eclectic group filled with details, but I have to say my favorite individual piece is either regular Hulk or Thanos. They're captured so well.

My only gripe is that some figures have springs that are too tight. For example, my Thor piece hardly even bobble's it might as well just be a vinyl figure.
