Cleaning Minis with a Magic Eraser - Visuals included!

Great things come in mysterious miniature or pint sized packages, but which great thing will it be? It's all a mystery until you open one. Then the fun begins.

I've used this in the past on MMs and it works great. (I've also used it on my car for scuffs, from like shopping carts, and it works great as well)

Oh! Wow!

I never thought of magic erasers as a way to clean paint imperfections. I can see using this method on pops as well.

I've tried a rubbing alcohol-water solution in the past and it has also worked. The stronger the alcohol ratio the better the paint flaws will be removed; but at the same time, the more damaging to the figure the solution can be. So always use at your own risk.

I've also tried nail polish remover or acetone to remove paint flaws and other surface imperfections. These though must be handled very carefully as they can easily remove too much paint and ruin you figure, not to mention the fumes are toxic.

It seems the magic eraser idea is a safe way to remove imperfections. I'll give it a try!

Sorry for the late reply but yes this trick also absolutely works on pops. I carry them a lot and accidents happen like scuffs and such but the magic eraser trick has worked pretty much every time. I’d go with that first before trying any other stuff.

Magic Eraser is great! The right amount of force is important though or the color can rub off.

I have a stain on one of my glitter pops. Has anyone tried to remove stains from a glitter pop. I don't want to try it and risk removing the glitter. I guess I'll try cleaning it with a toothpick, little by little.

I have learned the hard way by using those erasers too vigorously! My walls in my room have different color spots in a few places.

Wow I would of never thought to do this. I need to go through the minis and see if there's anything I can try to fix now lol. It's crazy that it helps and doesn't make it worse. All the little scrapes and stuff can really make a figure look ugly.
