Pitch a Mini line!

Great things come in mysterious miniature or pint sized packages, but which great thing will it be? It's all a mystery until you open one. Then the fun begins.

Pitch a Mini line!

Postby HNutz » Fri Mar 13, 2015 12:24 am

So far we've had Marvel & DC Heroes, Frozen and Disney, Sci-Fi guys and Horror Icons... what do you think would make a fun series?

How about... video games? It could cover some classic characters like Mario, Luigi, Link, Sonic, Mega Man & Samus Aran alongside some newer folks like Lara Croft, the guy from Half-Life, the dude from Bioshock, etc.

LOST, Twilight Zone, Sid & Marty Krofft (HR Puff n Stuff, Lidsville would be awesome) for nostalgia. Cereal Mascots might be fun too. A Music series with different genres (Punk, Metal, Pop) would be cool.

Didn't realize there was already a thread for suggestions. 80's Joe line would be fantastic as Mystery Minis.

Heh, you read my mind! I was thinking about how cool a 'video game all stars' mini line would be a few days ago. Not sure how possible it would be, but I'd also love to add in a JRPG character or two to the mix, like from Final Fantasy, Shin Megami Tensei, Tales of, etc.

Other than that, I'm not sure what else I'd REALLY want. We're getting anime and Dreamworks minis soon, it seems, and Titan Vinyls are doing Cartoon Network as well; which are all sets I'd have mentioned in a thread like this months ago.

Maybe a Nickelodeon set would be neat, especially if it's a mix of old (like Doug, Rugrats, Hey Arnold, Rocko's Modern Life) and new (ATLA/LoK, Sanjay and Craig, Spongebob, Fairly Odd Parents).

^^^Those are some of my most wanted minis too! I'd also like LOST (as someone else mentioned) and X-Files.

How about an all encompassing Star Trek series? It could pull from all the different TV series. I love the Spock from the first Sci-Fi series, and Kirk and the Locutus of Borg from the upcoming second series both look great, but I would like more Trek. Way too many characters to list here. ;-)

More trek would be brilliant - I want ferengis, romulans, cardassians, jem hadar etc etc.

A line of mortal kombat would also be amazing.

What about an entire line based on Arnie films? Loads of amazing characters.

The holy grail for me though would be a thundercats line!

I really want Buffy minis. If those can't happen, I would take Whendonverse minis.

Otherwise, Orphan Black. The possibilities would be endless!

If they'd go there, Street Fighter, and Tekken would also be well received. So would Soul Caliber, Virtua Fighter, and DOA. Ha...could you imagine a mystery minis line of DOA? Made with bobbling breast. lol. Ok...maybe not DOA.

I really want a Holidays line. Since a lot of the Holidays Pops! are so hard to find now/expensive, it would be nice to get those characters in Mystery Mini form.

I also like the previously mentioned ideas of Star Wars and Saturday Morning Disney Cartoons.

Definitely Dr. Who! I'm surprised there aren't minis already-

Sherlock would be cool too-

I really like some of the ideas above- especially Muppets, Video Game charaters, Star Wars, Calvin & Hobbs (agree no way this will happen though)

My dream series would probably be .... Rainbow Brite, Last Unicorn, Unico!!! But I won't hold my breath...

I know there's 2 in the sci-fi line but I'm a huge fan so a dedicated Firefly mini set would be amazing.
I'd also love to see Avatar/Korra minis.

If they're not going to do more Pops, perhaps a set of Lord of the Rings/Hobbit minis would suffice.

Though I definitely have to echo that sentiment, especially since Duck Tales is making a comeback in 2017.

Way too many things I would love to see get the Mystery Mini treatment, my list could go on and on for quite a while. I assume many of these are not possible due to licensing agreements, but would love to see series for:

Star Wars
Transformers G1
G.I. Joe
Thundercats
Masters of the Universe
Dragonball Z
Hanna Barbera
Ghostbusters
Classic WWF
Muppets
Dark Crystal
More Firefly
Battlestar Gallactica
Cereal Mascots
Video game characters
Misc. 80's cartoons
80s comedies
Seinfeld
Cheers
Tarantino and Wes Anderson characters

Yeah, I think you're right. I was just calling it the way the first person referred to it. lol Basically I would be happy with any Disney animated series from the 80s-90s!

I certainly hope the reboot of DuckTales leads to some Funko products of that series. (Whether Mystery Minis or Pops! or whatever.) It's one of my favorites. =)

Adult Swim Mystery Minis would be great. Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Frisky Dingo, Robot Chicken, Sealab 2021, Tim and Eric, Metalocalypse, The Venture Bros, Assy McGee, Harvey Birdman, Home Movies, Squidbillies, Moral Orel and so many more. It'd be a really cool series of minis.

Indiana Jones
Rambo
The A-Team
Die Hard
Kill Bill
Mad Max
Escape From New York
Under Seige
Six-Million Dollar Man
