Not the Horror line of minis, but YOUR horror stories. Frustrations with buying blind boxes and ending up with multiples of the same. I started collecting the walking dead series 2 and so far have bought 7 of them ...and have 2 Ricks,2 charred walker dude and 2of the jawless chick. Should i just go ahead and buy the sets or continue to press my luck and see what i get with the blind boxes? I know I'm late to the game, have only been collecting a few weeks now. I guess i could always set up a set for the kids, unless anyone else needs some of the extras i have and wants to trade.

Yeah I've gotten 3 extra Robocops on my search for the Mars Attacks Martian. I keep thinking I hear and feel the helmet, but I've learned my lesson. I've seen people unfortunately with worse though. I got Judge Dredd the last time, luckily I didn't have him. Beautiful figure. Robocop is great too, but after 4 of them you get a bit less 'impressed' each time.

Anyways, I think getting the box is best if you want the majority of the figures from the series. On top of that, you'll probably end up with a rarer figure if you're lucky! For the next Sci-Fi and Horror series I'm totally buying a full case.

Yeah, that's nothing really. But if you're resourceful, you can hopefully find a way to trade/sell off your dupes.That's the joy and anguish of blind boxes.

I just buy cases
If i'm missing a few chases i take my chances.
It was a pain when i needed a chucky 1/144.

Then one day i went to my comic shop and bought one blind box and got him.

Still didn't get headless herschel thou. ..

Bought 7 blind boxes and got 3 bikes , 2 bloody tyrese and glenn and a zombie

OMG!! Getiing doubles with these gets me tight. Ive gotten like 5 reg Jason Vorhees in search of just a Chucky/Scarred Chucky/GITD Pennywise/Nes Jason. The chaes have Been dodging me for a while Nd ive gotten countless boxes. But thtas all part of the Game.

My first three minis were all Pennywise (all three regular, none of them GITD). I pulled a Green Goblin with a backwards head, but I was able to fix it. Currently, it's finishing the GOT series 1 set. I can't seem to pull Dany, who I should've gotten by now. I know Jamie and Drogon are going to be annoying, and idk how to find the HT exclusives.

So far, I've only gotten one double (deathstroke) not any more doubles for now, but really don't want to pull a double...been lucky so far though, I guess.

I've pulled 8 Power Girls in my search for Reverse Flash and Death Flash, along with a few other doubles here and there, but not one common Deathstroke.

I usually get things in triplicates before I start to give up. Pulled my third black-shoe Pet from TWD S2, but I finally found a brown-shoe and a glow zombie, so I guess that makes up for it.

I pull until I get a double then go to ebay or collector sales unless there's only one or two that I want from a release...then it's straight to collector sales and ebay.

All I needed for the Game of Thrones series 1 line was a glow in the dark white walker and I winded up pulling about 5 Viserions. I winded up going to eBay out of frustration.

The Sci-Fi line and the new DC line have hit me with more doubles than I can count.
I have 2 regular Predators, 2 bloody Predators, and 2 Robocops in search for the Rocketeer.
I have 2 Deathstrokes, 3 Martian Manhunters, and 2 Power Girls in search for Harley Quinn and a White Lantern Batman. I was lucky enough to get a Reverse Flash that I traded for some figures I needed.

Never being able to get the 1/144s for the Game of Thrones series 1 but otherwise having the whole set
I've been lucky enough to find new homes for many duplicates either via online communities, regular customers or Funatic meet ups. Still have a few duplicates kicking around but haven't actively bothered to re-home then yet. So far I've actually been pretty lucky and avoided a lot of duplicates considering how many boxes I purchase blind.

It was a dark and stormy night. As I passed the cemetery gate I thought I heard a voice calling my name. "it's only the wind." I told myself as I shivered. I kept walking past the old house, that dilapidated Victorian that terrified me as a child, when I could swear I heard footsteps following me. I turned around, and saw no one, nothing. I started walking faster, looking over my shoulders, eyes darting around, waiting for some sort of clarity...when all of a sudden...a mini tron figure appeared out of nowhere and I hated it because I already had 3.

I actually haven't bought any mystery minis in a while in fear of still getting doubles. But I think the itch is coming back and I might be picking some up after work. I'll be going to the mall so probably stop by HT and see how it goes!
