Nightmare Before Christmas mystery minis series 2

Great things come in mysterious miniature or pint sized packages, but which great thing will it be? It's all a mystery until you open one. Then the fun begins.

Yep. All from the same case. There was 2 missing. I got 3 of the orange monster, 3 lockes, 2 barrels, and one pumpkin king with sign, and one shocke.

Just my damn luck. Sick as a dog. And bought almost an entire case of 1/12 ratios. And for triples and doubles. FML so hard right now.

I have had the same issue the past two times when buying a "full" case from Hot Topic. The first was Inside Out and the next was Supernatural, I was not amused. I say your best bet would be to ask an employee if they had another case in the back if you want to buy another, I know I will when I get around to purchasing mine.

Well you can get dupes in a case when there have been a few before it and as the minis sell employees combine them and then another employee might not be aware and tell someone looking for a complete case that it is. At least, that is what I like to think happens....

It was their only case. I asked both times I went. And talked to two different employees. Just dumb luck honestly

I wonder if someone maybe returned un-opened figures from a different store and bought out of that case?

I hope so, sorry to hear about that! But what I meant was if we want all the variants then that requires buying a case from HT (for their exclusives) and a "regular" case elsewhere.

Anyone picked up an extra Pumpkin King yet? That is really the only one left I want.
If not, do we have a case layout yet?

So I landed Santa over the weekend and at this point just broke down and hit ebay. I was able to get Pumpkin King Jack & the Harlequin Demon with shipping for the price I would pay for 2 boxes in the store.

Thanks! I feel the same, that is the only way I will order them from ebay. With the exception of some limited figures.
I normally love the hunt for minis, but the 1:12 makes it m a little more difficult. Unless you can pick from the same box before anyone else gets into it, your chances are worse. It doesn't help that I'm a little selective about which ones I want. With this line it was just the 2 Jacks, the Harlequin Demon, and the worm eating the tree. Santa and the creature under the stairs were nice additions. But the others I've picked up I either just traded or gave away.

Here's my layout, this is the standard set. The ones on the left are the top layer, the ones on the right are bottom layer, so Pumpkin King should be on the top layer, bottom right corner.

well got the 2 I wanted from GameStop. I bought one and opened Lock and noticed they had the Harlequin on the counter, they proceed to tell me I could swap if I wanted so I was totally up for that. I tried another hoping for the Clown after the guy told me he hadn't been pulled yet (the box was out of order so the layout picture above sadly didn't help) but we shook a bit and the cashier helped me find the heaviest one and happily it was indeed the clown.

Well to get a full set you would need the 3 HT exclusives, but if you buy a full case (12) from them you would be missing the 3 that they dropped to include their exclusives. So a total of 15 in the set, makes it a bit harder to piece together but I did see that they are now on both the BN and HT websites. HT however only lets you order 10, so you can't get a full case from them.

I bought a case from HT and then the Clown and Vampire from eBay to complete my set. I don't need two identical Sally's. Yes, I know one glows and one doesn't, but 99% of the time I'm looking at them it's not in the dark so I don't care.
