First Mystery mini set you collected and what you collect now

I love collecting some of the mystery mini sets. The first set we wanted to collect was the Minions. I am now collecting A"lice through the looking glass set".

Just curious what some others are collecting and what your first set was.

My first mini was Mickey from Disney S1, but my first "OMG have to get" set was Sci Fi S1.

My kid and I started off with My Little Pony series 1 after coming across them at Toys 'R Us during her birthday shopping trip. Found the SciFi series 1 and it was all over. Nowadays I spend more on wobblers and other stuff but I'm patiently waiting for the hype around the new Horror series to die down so I can find some of those in stores.

I don't collect a lot of them, but now I have all of Fallout wave 1 (minus GS exclusives) and a handful more of Sci Fi minis.

I told myself I would never get into Mystery Minis. Too expensive to hunt down the ones I wanted... Didn't like not knowing what I was buying, etc... Then they went and released WWE ones and I had to have them. That opened a Pandora's Box right there. Only have two complete sets (How To Train Your Dragon & Finding Dory) and generally just keep the ones I actually want, but collect a variety of different lines... Horror, Sci-Fi, WWE, Disney, Marvel, Batman, etc...

I started with Game of thrones and I didn't think I was going with any other mystery minis but now I started the walking dead, harry potter ,some marvel, despicable me and horror. I wish they had star wars

The first series that grabbed my attention was the Batman: Arkham Games series. I have all but Croc. I've since purchased most of the BvS and SS series. I've picked up some pieces from other sets, but I plan to stick with DC sets mainly.

My first mini was a Tinkerbell from Disney series one at a toy convention, which was promptly followed by another Tinkerbell variation, a Pooh, and a Maleficent. My first full set was Avengers Age of Ultron and from there it just exploded.

Surprisingly, Batman v Superman. I went HAM and picked up a full case, then a full Walmart case. Finished it off with two of the GameStop exclusives. Surprising, because I didn't love the movie. Same goes for Suicide Squad, and I've got most of the Squad minis. Still need a Boxer Joker though.

I have a Flash comics mini, and all the "Robins" from the Arkham series.

Hoping to see Doctor Who minis in the DCEU style. They're the perfect combination of the SciFi/Horror style and the cutsie Disney style. Same for DC TV minis.

Now I just cherry pick from lines that I like at work (or I get lucky and buy ones I want on here) but I think I'm going to end up buying a case of Steven Universe ones

I started with the MLP set one back when I would just grab a box every now and then. Right now I've got full sets of Princesses with Companions, Alice Through the Looking Glass, Harry Potter, Dory, and League of Legends. I also have almost all of MLP 1-3, and a healthy assortment of other random figures. Like a lot of folks, I am not eagerly waiting the Villains with Companions set.

A couple years ago I saw a case of Horror Classics series 1 in a local comic book shop, decided to pick one up just for fun, got a Jason Voorhees and it's been DOWNHILL ever since! I was back at the store the next day buying another one. And then back at the store the day after that buying about five more. Currently I'm collecting Horror Classics series 3. I had a few Game of Thrones minis (direwolves!!!) from the first set before I even got into really collecting funko stuff. I basically just go for ones I like.. but the Harry Potter set I really really want them all. So basically collecting Harry Potter, Disney Princesses and Companions, Finding Dory, Best of Bethesda (dogmeat!!!! ) and the upcoming Disney Villains line. There are some of the horror line and batman arkham but those aren't a priority.

If anyone from Funko reads this - more direwolves! Summer and Nymeria at least need mini versions. Also, more Harry Potter - I need Snape (and his patronus would be SO amazing - glow in the dark variant would be even better!).

Sci-Fi series 1 was my first foray into minis. I was really attracted to the diversity of the set. I finished that set and went back to finish the others of similar styles (horror and Walking Dead).

I have kept to just that style (the all white eyes) for now and have mostly complete sets of Sci-Fi, Horror, TWD, and Supernatural. I hope they do even more in this style!

I was never a Funko collector and not at all a fan of bobble-heads; however, I accidentally came across an Ash from Horror S1 in an eBay search about 1.5 years ago and had to have it. Looking into the various lines, I knew that I needed a Mal and Jane from Sci-Fi S1. Before I knew it, I was playing catch-up on eBay trying to complete both the Horror and Sci-Fi S1 sets. Soon after completing those sets, the S2 sets were released for both of those which I bought cases and cases of each, studying the layouts and trading / selling dupes. Those are pretty much all Mystery Minis that I collect which I showcase in my home theater like others might have movie posters. I've tried other lines, but nothing gets my juices flowing like those lines.

Started with the Arkham Series, then the BvS series, Suicide Squad, Game of Thrones and now the Harry Potter. Love those little guys. They helped me stop collecting Pops, I like the minis more. Hopefully they find a way to make Star Wars minis that are not bobbleheads.

I collect mostly just the Walking Dead mini's. That's what got me started on mystery mini's and I still collect those. I expanded to Harry Potter and I managed to get Dogmeat from the Bethesda mini's (that was the only one I wanted from that set). Just sitting here waiting for the next set of the Walking Dead!

I started collecting Mystery Minis when the first Series of The Walking Dead minis was released. I quickly became addicted, and have completed all four series of The Walking Dead. I love everything about them. The style, the size, the variety of characters, and the thrill of the chase. The smaller size makes it easier for me to display the full sets vs collecting them in Pop form. There also seems to be a greater variety of characters in one release - usually at least 12 or more in each series.

I've also recently started collecting other sets, too. Just completed the Disney Princesses, and with the other MM lines, I only collect the minis I really want (not necessarily a complete set). I have most of the Nightmare Before Christmas minis, as well as a few must-haves from the Sci-Fi and Horror lines. Filling in the gaps gives me something to do while I'm waiting for new lines or series of minis to be released.

My first set was the Avengers Age of Ultron but I did not try to get the Hot Topic exclusives, just the commons. My first full set is the Harry Potter set - as I collected both the Hot Topic and Barnes & Nobles exclusives. It was fun to chase and collect but I am limiting myself to just Harry Potter series going forward.
