Retro Video Game Mystery Minis

Great things come in mysterious miniature or pint sized packages, but which great thing will it be? It's all a mystery until you open one. Then the fun begins.

so I've got a serious question here, when the heck was Megaman ever an arcade game? I did google it but i'm still coming up with that he was originally an NES character as I thought, what am I missing?

Will definitely need to get the frogger. I loved that game when I was a kid. Now I need to go find a log or an alligator to display him on :)

He wasn't, he was an NES original. IIRC later on in Japan there was a MegaMan racing or soccer arcade game.

Since the series is retro video games I am assuming there is some wiggle room in the platforms. Since Nintendo has their "no super deformed" policy that rules out a lot of their first party IP's as options for this series. No Mario, Donkey Kong, Kid Icarus, Metroid, etc. Still, we could get Contra, Ninja Gaiden, etc.

Our favorite old school game is Toki (which had a much greater following overseas). Next to the original PacMan, that was our families favorite. We would flip if it ended up in a subsequent series with its own box.

Mr Do was a serious fave of mine. That and Bubble Bobble.
I loved the idea of QBert but was so bad at it, it ruined any long term playability or financial security for me!

It's going to be fun, surgically opening the boxes to get the Minis out...

Mega Man was never in an arcade cabinet that I can remember but being a Capcom license, it may have happened in Japan.
I am glad to be getting him but had hopes for Pole Position, Burger Time, Space Invaders, Bubble Bobble, Tetris, Dragon's Lair, Rampage, 1942....something along those lines

Dragon's Lair! I had not even thought about Dirk! Space Ace would be rad too. They could easily run this series for a long time...

The art on the boxes WILL correspond with the figure inside. In other words, a Pac-Man box will contain a Pac-Man character, a Qbert box will only contain Qbert or Coily, etc.

Cant wait for these to start hitting stores. I want to pick up Megaman and I think my mother would love a frogger for her desk.Since the packages match the figures itll be interesting to see which ones get left at the store.
