I don't know how HT is in other areas, but my area is not so good. Both in almost closed malls and low volume stores. 1/72 is a complete long shot for me ever getting my hands on eowyn. I haven't pulled any exclusives from HT at all. Pretty sure I won't. I will keep trying but I'm not sure they will restock lord of the rings.

Ah that makes sense. I also ordered some of the non-exclusives too, but they haven't shipped to the store yet for some reason.
Have you checked with the store, just in case? I've found they don't always notify you when stuff ships/arrives at HT and Box Lunch. The manager at my local HT just sends me a Facebook message half the time when my stuff comes in, because a lot of the time I have no idea it's been delivered.
I've picked up my other orders on successive weekends, planning to go again next week as I had some more stuff coming in (they separated some of my orders into 3 shipments ). Pretty sure those are the one thing that hasn't shipped yet, though its possible they did it without emailing as you said, as they are more than a bit disorganized
I had an order that was something like 4 Pops, a Plush, and one PSH. I pick up my order, and..no PSH. 3 weeks later, I got a message from the manager at HT that I had a single padded envelope at the store. It was the missing PSH. No indication from HT that they'd shipped it separately, no notification it'd ever arrived at the store. I never did get a notice about it. If the manager hadn't told me, I'd never have known. Their shipping department truly is horribly disorganized.

Re: Lord of the Rings Mystery Minis
Went to the container Store today and picked up a few display cases. Loving how my LOTR minis look in them.
Also pulled Arwen today which I'm extremely happy about. Found a fresh case at Barnes and used a layout I found on here and got super lucky. Still can't believe it.

NZ/Aus aren't getting their stock of B&N or HT cases until March, so possible we'll see another restock around that time as well.

MM restocks always seem to take forever, but there should be more coming. Of course now that everyone's keeping an eye out for them they might be harder to get on the first restock!

It appears that there’s no other character close to that in the retail assortment. Nazgûl is weight-bookended by Saruman and Gimli; I’ve seen Saruman as high as 66.3, and Gimli as low as 72.8. I will keep my scale batteries charged and look for a box that’s in the high 60s or low 70s.

I like your hobbit list. . I would really like to see all 13 dwarfs. It could be done seeing how they released 21 the time. Of course to complete the dwarfs, funko will make 4 or 6 exclusives only to HT or another store that will make it really difficult to get our hands on.

My barnes was at least a dismantled case (though I already got GITD Galadiel :/) Was hoping for a Nazgul or Arwen

Eowyn isn't even showing up on ebay. I'm curious if the well has run dry. HT doesn't have them online. I did stop by my local HT, and an employee told me he didn't think anymore would be coming in. I new to minis and so far, this line is the only one I have been interested in. I don't know any of the traits funko has. From what I gather, the exclusives don't run as long as the commons. Going off other lines, is this true? Have we seen the last of the exclusives, or is this just a break and they will restock stores like HT and BN soon for a few more months?

My wife picked up an Eowyn today. That was the first time we've seen a fresh case in Hot Topic but I also hadn't checked in a while, so I don't know if it was recently restocked.

You never know. Barnes & Noble’s first Harry Potter series started showing up en masse months after I gave up hope of ever finding their exclusive Dumbledore.
But I’m not sure what’s going on with Hot Topic specifically. My stores got one shipment (2-3 cases) of the second Harry Potter series, and then nothing. (Which sucks because I’m a completist, and I’m still missing Sirius and Buckbeak.) My Hot Topics haven’t gotten any additional shipments of the LOTR Minis so far. If Funko wants to cut back on the availability of exclusive cases, it would be swell if they could at least make the exclusive characters 1/6 or 1/12. This ratio disparity between the exclusive Hot Topic characters and the exclusive Barnes & Noble characters in this series is confounding.

Re: Lord of the Rings Mystery Minis
Agreed. I pulled 2 frodos , gold gimli and GITD galadriel from the same fresh case, ironically from an online order. All 3 BN exclusives at once. I even pulled a saruman from the same case. I wish I found 1 exclusive from HT. I had to buy mine or I still wouldn't have them. I bought the equivalent of a case from HT. Nothing but dupes.
I did hear a rumor that hot topic was in danger of closing. Maybe funko will choose a new store for exclusives. Toys r us has been fighting closing so I think they wouldn't be a choice moving foward. I just hope it would be a store near me.

Re: Lord of the Rings Mystery Minis
So, i am not one to complain as I am an avid collector and believer in chase figures. I have collected many full sets, had to poach on ebay and cough up quite a bit extra at times. That being said, these HT exclusives are insane. Ebay's only current HT figures (by a single user-most likely not a collector) at 499$ eowyn, 399$lurtz, and 299$ angmar. HT is the worst at poaching, where employees wont even let the rares hit the shelves. I have had this experience multiple times with different sets at 3 different HT's in a 50 mile radius. Every time a set comes out with 1/72 or 1/144 ive shown up to HT when they just come out...and guess what...the sweet spots are gone (and the only boxes missing from the cases).
These prices are getting insane, and with identical case layouts there is no chance at getting the chase figures. I really wish funko did a better job at randomizing the layouts as people selling these tend to not be collectors and just poaching. 300-400$ for a chase figure....come on. Of my 400+ minis, only rosita and zombie Ed are worth a ton of money and these sets are 1-2+ years off the shelf. Sorry for venting but this is super frustrating, hopefully they launch another round with more of the exclusives like they did with horror classics series 3.

Those prices are insane though. Screw Ebay, Facebook groups and some sites like Let Go have them for way cheaper around 80$ or less.

You mind sharing the groups that are selling them for that? I think I am going to concede defeat and just buy them.

Re: Lord of the Rings Mystery Minis
I joined 3 Facebook groups for these minis. No luck there at all. It's nothing but a popularity contest, and the admins are big shots that control everything. I wasted a couple of weeks working out a deal for an Eowyn only to be left at the altar. Once I had what the user wanted for trade, he stopped answering my messages. Mean while, the prices kept going up.. I left all 3 groups at the same time. I wouldn't waste my time on Facebook groups. I once bought a part for my vintage star wars dessert skiff from a Facebook group. It was sent to me in a padded envelope, and the part cracked during shipping. This was sold to me by the admin of the group. I haven't been back since.
I asked an employee at HT if they had new cases and he brought out a case with the front 2 tops missing. Completey frustrating.

I haven't seen to much drama in the Mystery Minis Marketplace, it's run by more or less the same group who run the Funko Trading - PopVinyls.com group so similar rules and what not. That said pretty much everyone is looking for the HT exclusives and there aren't many that come up and when they do typically the sellers are looking to trade instead of sell.

What baffles me is why are the prices going up? Every other set the prices start high and go down over a 3-6 month period before bottoming out then going back up. Usually the up-up-away is reserved for LE items or con exclusives.
I wonder if they haven't yet distributed the entirety of the initial batch so availability is extra limited. Last I checked PC they also weren't yet available in AU, so there's likely another wave coming in 1-4 months.

So in addition to there just not being that many that are popping up on the secondary markert, I think part of what's driving up the price is the "Buckbeak" effect. A popular series (Harry Potter series 2) with a 1/72 hot topic exclusive that sells for over $200+ these days. I think there are some resllers (and maybe a few collectors) who normally would be selling at this point as you're right usually prices are high early on and then tail off and only a handful ever re-reach their initial peak price points and even then that's usually 9-12 months later. But instead are looking at the prices on Buckbeak and other recent HT exclusives and are just keeping their stock knowing in 3-4 months they'll more than likely fetch an even higher price.
You are also correct, Australia and New Zealand aren't getting their B&N/HT stock in until March (were supposed to get it in January) so it is possible that their were production delays and the US didn't get their full supply yet either.
