Mystery Minis vs. PSH

Great things come in mysterious miniature or pint sized packages, but which great thing will it be? It's all a mystery until you open one. Then the fun begins.

I really like both. For me it depends on the line though. I am definitely getting the Sailor Moon MM and season 2 of R&M. I got the R&M and SU PSH because I liked the lines and they are pretty adorable. I agree with most people though how much easier it is to feel out what you want with PSH. The MM Horror series was so impossible get all of them without resorting to eBay

MM no question. Bigger, better licenses, more licenses, and more bang for buck if you buy at a normal retail store (Not HT, not B Lunch). LOL <3

Don't know that I could choose one or the other. Love them both. Some characters just work better as Mystery Minis. Some work better as Pint Size Heroes.

Too much truth here. MM for design but I may have a few Samwise and Frodo MMs. Might to follow the pocket scale way but eBay might be cheaper for a sure thing in th end.

I personally love PSH more than minis. Just something about the PSH makes them look better than minis to me. I especially love the first wave of Disney PSH.

I enjoy both lines, they have different features that make them great on their own. however, If I had to choose for only one to go one, it'd have to be MM.

Minis, and it isn't even a contest. I don't understand the love for PSH. I've never seen a PSH with a decent paint-job. They just come off as cheap cash-ins to me. And it actually makes me resentful that so many properties that haven't gotten Minis are getting PSH sets first (MOTU, Power Rangers, etc.)

I’m a pint size hero fan since I can feel it up and stand a higher chance to complete the set but I’ll do mystery minis for the right line- my fiancé and I are looking for the WB classic cartoons now and that sailor moon line is calling my name

I was instantly hooked when PSH released,so they’re my go to. Minis never really interested me until the WB Looney Tunes was announced.

I do both, but PSH are cheaper/easier to find/easier to display. That said there are some awesome mini's that just wouldnt work as PSH (wolves, dragons, etc).

Personally I'm far more inclined to get minis over PSH. I'm actually afraid that I will lose the PSH's even, so I stick to minis.

I stop collecting MM since I can’t afford to keep buying dupes lol. I bring my wife a long with me when I’m out hunting for PSH because they all feel the same to me. My wife just gets annoyed watching me trying to feel what is what... she seem to have a knack for feeling PSH....if that’s a good skill to really have lol

I used to actively collect a few different lines of Mystery Minis as well as Dorbz before the introduction of PSH. The PSH seem to capture the things that I love about both lines while also having a relatively attractive price point (I can't usually find them for 4.99 to 5.99) and as a few have already said it's not too hard to find the one you want. I was able to pull a HT exclusive Bender from the SciFi box on my very first try. I think as it stands now I've got between 50-60 PSH and I haven't bought a Mystery Mini since the Rick and Morty wave 1 was released.

I think PSH are adorable, and have around seventy now. But I much more prefer the Mystery Minis, the wide range of designs, and the characters that can be represented (that might not work as PSH).

I prefer PSH because they're like mini dorbz and the series that have come out are more geared to my taste. Plus, they work more with my budget. When it comes to MMs, ill just trade or buy off of eBay for the ones i want. Although it's hard to resist the chibi eyes, I've just never really sought them out.

I used to prefer PSH due to the cuteness factor, but Funko has been major stepping up their Mystery Mini game lately!

I have the same feeling. When Funko announced One Piece MM, that is one MM line that I need all of them. ](*,)

I prefer PSH, because it is smaller and I could feel the bag to get the exclusives easier compare to MM.

I have no preference! I love them both. I probably have more mystery minis just because of them being around longer. However I will tell you, the 1/72 exclusivity kills me. Either way... I am buying both of them because they are both cute!

Like I said, I’m a PSH girl but for the right line, I’ll play the MM hunt. That being said, the ratio for PSH compared to MM is a big reason why I prefer the PSH (besides the cuteness factor). That WB Line is slowly but surely killing my wallet and I keep getting duds :(

With all of that though, I’ll keep buying and searching for both...such is the life of a Funko collector :)

I honestly really like both, but for some series I don’t like the look of the minis or the PSH. Really just depends on how the line comes out.
