GODZILLA Mystery Mini 3 Pack

Here is an odd question...

This item comes with a small piece of tape on both ends to seal the mystery in the box.
I bought a case, and am pretty sure it was sealed when I bought it, but all 6 of the Godzilla Mystery Mini 3 Packs in the case had their tape cut on the left side (by the green Godzilla), basically allowing the box to be peaked into, and see what the 'mystery' Godzilla was. Was this from the factory, or is something else happening here at the distributor??

Has anyone else bought these, and noticed this??
