Disappointing GITD Minis

Great things come in mysterious miniature or pint sized packages, but which great thing will it be? It's all a mystery until you open one. Then the fun begins.

Disappointing GITD Minis

Postby hailmary25 » Thu Aug 02, 2018 10:32 am

I saw there was topic in Pops and thought it was worth discussing here too.

What is the most disappointing GITD mini to you.

For me it is Goku. His Hair on mine at least Barely glows.

Not sure how many GITD there are out there but its that one for me.

Goku is near the top. Sally (NBC S2) is up there. If it's gitd plastic they tend to be brighter than the paint, IMO.

Can confirm that my toxic morty's glow is actually not bad, considering how small it is. If only they made toxic rick gitd too... Not sure why they didn't since the pop versions are also gitd.

Yeah, Rick not being GITD as well doesn't really make much sense to me. Of course, I still haven't even found a Toxic Rick.

Maybe I just didn't charge it up enough, but the Coco minis didn't seem to have a solid glow.

Did you use a UV flashlight? I've seen those work wonders on otherwise weak glows.

No, just leaving it out in the sun for a bit.

If you want to drop like $10 on amazon, it's pretty fun charging up the gitd pops/minis and watching them glow haha.

Yeah, I've got a UV flashlight and it makes all the difference with some of the GITD minis and pops.

All GITD minis are disappointing compared to the glorious B&N exclusive Galadriel. (But for reals, Lion from steven universe has a disappointing glow)

It'll trigger an addiction with collecting more GITD pops though so be careful ;-)

The sdcc glow in the dark Cheshire Cat. I think it’s a cool idea like the pop but it just doesn’t glow well at all

Typically the ones made from the material are going to have a stronger good than just paint but take a picture when you do it!

Try the black light, because I had the same problem until I purchased one online at Walmart. They only cost about $7.00
1st pop Marvel Thor bobble head and Captain America (2011) Walked into booth at SDCC and purchased in less than 5 minutes.
