Ratios debate! Do you prefer high ratios or all 1/12 sets?

Great things come in mysterious miniature or pint sized packages, but which great thing will it be? It's all a mystery until you open one. Then the fun begins.

Totally agree. The hunt for the rare ones is the fun part of MM.

I never weigh with a scale in stores, but I definitely do my homework on layouts. Even so, it is imperfect and I end up with extras of low ratio fillers. Can I ask how you approach this? Do you really just stab in the dark and buy a ton of random boxes? Or maybe buy by the case until you get what you wanted? If so, what do you do with the mountain of worthless junk you end up with? I still have a bunch of low ratio dupes I can't even get $2 for on eBay.

i feel its more on funkos side to randomize the case more and not have exact layouts so people will kno what the most valubale one is. once you kno the layout and see a case where that one spot is missing your not going to buy any from that case knowin the one you want is most likely gone. most of the dupes that i cant sell i just giveaway to the kids on my family so they can play with them.

I totally know the awful feeling of seeing a case with one or two spots missing, and have never bought from anything less than a full case, and generally not after the first weekend that I know they are on the shelves, which is why I think it would be better for both Funko and their fans if there were more figures you would want in every case. With the current ratios, if they could get it together to truly randomize (apart from the Gamestop employees who seem to get their jollies by messing with us), I would just wait for eBay to figure it out, or just pass.

I used to think that mixed ratios were better, but as my life has become more busy, work has gotten crazier and more time consuimg, I just don't have the time I used to to go hunting. I basically just end up having to buy the harder to find ratio minis on Ebay and it costs an arm and a leg. Kinda digging the 1/12 more tbh

I prefer 1/12. I can grab a whole box and be done with my set.

Sometimes, I agree with this, but I do love those high ratios.

I think if it's too easy to obtain then it shouldn't be called a blind box, it's the thrill to get the higher ratios but also for the lower ones as well, when you get multiples it's the chance you take IMO :freddy3:

I'm of with there being rarer pieces but please stop with 9 boxes in a case being 1/6. It is so frustrating.

I enjoy sets that have the higher ratios but the store exclusives are 1/12 or 1/6. Like they did with the Toy Story and Venom sets. Having 1:72 store exclusives like the 1:72 zuul specialty series Ghostbusters was just too much.

High ratio, is not fun if you buy on case and complete the set.

Sometimes I want a complete set so 1:12 and buy the case. Other times I only want certain figures so hunting is okay even with high ratios that make it more challenging.
