Super Smash Bros Ultimate (and other video game related) Mystery Minis

Great things come in mysterious miniature or pint sized packages, but which great thing will it be? It's all a mystery until you open one. Then the fun begins.

Super Smash Bros Ultimate (and other video game related) Mystery Minis

Postby sylin » Thu Jan 16, 2020 12:10 pm

Given the earlier news of the new DLC characters for this game, it made me think that minis would be great. There's such a massive diversity in this game, and so many different characters from Nintendo and other franchises. These would be Must Have Mystery Minis if they existed.

It’d be interesting to see how they differ from the amiibo figures that are out for SSB

Well, they'd be different.

Smaller, and more stylized for Funko.

For sure, just imagine how much money they would make if they already made some freaking Nintendo items already except Pokémon.

But, Nintendo doesn't allow distorted versions of their characters, so why wouldnt they continue to make them without Funko and have 100% of the profit?

Yea I always assumed the reason why Funko cant get the Nintendo license is because of the amiibo figures, would love to see Super Smash Bros minis tho.

I wonder if it ever did happen, if Funko would change the name for some of the characters based on regions, like Villager/Murabito

Nintendo doesn’t want to give up licensing, or this would be a great idea

Are amiibos even selling as much as they used to? I know there was hype in the beginning but I don't think there's as much now

This would be a great thing to see. Kind of like the ones they did for classic games a couple years back.
