Upcoming HT Exclusives

Going to hit up my HT stores tomorrow and use up some hot cash. Hopefully there are still some yummies left. I'll keep an eye out for stuff. Looking to finish my Black Butler set, and get some random fill-ins I'm missing.

I called my local HT and asked about Wishverse Willow but they didn't have any in. The guy remembered me coming in last week asking about it and some others, told me they got Charlie back in stock. Friend of mine lives in Memphis and they have Wishverse when he went today but no Charlie, I guess we'll just do a trade :p

I'm new to the whole Pop stuff, so what exactly is a Chase limited edition? just so many get sent out in the beginning or something and you can be lucky and find one like a Willy Wonka golden ticket? :p

The HT I went to (Victoria Gardens) had about six in stock. BTW, HT Ontario Mills and Victoria Gardens have a sign limiting you to three of a kind.

Yes that glow is with it in the box. If you are an in-box collector, purchase a backlight, it makes them really glow

Just called my Hot Topic and they got in Wishverse Willow and Glow La Muerte.

Went to my local HT today to pick up my Charlie, while there I saw another Charlie, a Cas with wings, a few AA Harleys and some of the AHS Pops. If I had more than enough money to buy just one pop I think I could have gone home with 4 or 5, haha. Exton, Pa is the location if anyone is nearby.

The La Muerte one looks cool. I didn't know they were making a glow in the dark version. I don't know when I'll go to the store again, I've just been checking the website multiple times a day for anything new.

I went to my HT to use my hot cash and they had all the AHS exclusives, a ton of Charlie's and even a blown up face Gus! But the real prize for me was a metallic and GITD Electro HT exclusive! I didn't even know this existed!

My HT had Charlies FINALLY. Also had all the HT EXCLUSIVE AHS. Unfortunately, nothing I didn't already have. Oh well. But I did get the news they are putting a maximum quantity limit of 3 to all exclusive figures. Thank god!

Yes, same at my two local HT that I went to this week. Ontario Mills and Victoria Gardens are both limiting to three but the weird thing is the sign says Comic Con and Comikaze but none of the Pop! have the sticker. The sign should say exclusive or pre-release.

Mine had the same. I literally have never seen a Comikaze exclusive at HT. Do they even ship to HT??

Are the HT are going to start doing this company wide. I knew this was coming for a few months. It's just to try and keep one person from buying everything and not leaving anything for anyone else.

Interesting tidbit about HT:
Went to my local Hot Topic last night to pick up a couple exclusives they had for me. The store clerk told us that the CA stores get shipments first, then they go to the TN stores and then merchandise gets distributed to everywhere else. Interesting that TN gets second dibs. The amount they get also depends on how big the store is.

As far as limiting how many you can buy, that has come down from corporate from what she told us. They are trying to control the flippers. Literally. Good for you, HT. I love that they are trying to do that!!

The store clerk told us that the CA stores get shipments first, then they go to the TN stores and then merchandise gets distributed to everywhere else. Interesting that TN gets second dibs. The amount they get also depends on how big the store is.

As far as limiting how many you can buy, that has come down from corporate from what she told us. They are trying to control the flippers. Literally. Good for you, HT. I love that they are trying to do that!!

TN is where their distribution center is. It hits TN then ships out to the surrounding areas.

I think it's because TN has a HT warehouse. One of my HT stores will usually have different exclusives than the other. Haha.

My HT employees told me they are also having issues with the mystery minis. People come in and buy the entire unopened case. So they may be cracking down on that as well soon

Nice to see they plan on doing something like this. 3 seems like a good number! I just saw a photo that a guy posted on Instagram of 14 AHS exclusives he bought and is selling for $30 each. Pretty infuriating!

Oh my god. They aren't even worth that. I'm so excited for this! Maybe now I will actually get Pops I want without having to resort to online sellers

I like the limiting of purchasing Pop exclusives but now my HT will no longer hold my exclusive Pop(s) while I did drive there to pick them up

You all realize this will do nothing to stop that right? I may be newer to collecting Pops (3 years), but 21 years of collecting Star Wars toys tells me this will do nothing to stop people from buying them all out. Oldest trick in the book for a quantity limit - find any random person near by and offer them $10 to buy to the quantity allowed (which you will also pay for). Most of the time they just bring 5 or 6 friends - presto!, they still buy all the Pops and did not break the quantity limit in an enforceable way. They won't be able to use as many discounts, which will just drive the secondary market prices even higher. So now instead of a $15 pop being $30, it will be $40 or $50. Plus there is nothing to stop them from going on multiple days or to multiple area stores.

It works for online purchases too if you create multiple email accounts and have neighbors you can trust to receive shipments. Hot Topic would have to track it to enforce it, and the cost to the company isn't worth it. They aren't going to lose sales either way. The signs and limits will just be to placate everyone complaining to them and online about it .

I am not advocating any of this behavior, just saying I've seen it done in stores and at conventions for decades. So don't get your hopes up that this will mean there will be a better chance for you to buy the Pops.

I'm surprised the Metallic Electros are still being sold. I got mine in April! I haven't seen a Half Face Gus anywhere though. I've really been needing it to complete my Breaking Bad collection.

Just got back from the gym and the mall. The HT there had one each of HT Exclusives Am Horror Story Cordelio Fox and Fiona Goode. And a pre-release Black Butcher Grell (who is quite detailed and very cool!!!). I have no idea who these characters are?????

Their empty shelves may have had something to do with the Apple store directly across from it - line for the new iPhone - speaking of characters.

I also ordered a HT exclusive glow La Muerte at a fairly reasonable price - that's a very hot looking series!

I see that people are selling the Wiseverse Willow on ebay already. Do they probably have a pre-release or is it out of the stores so quick they don't bother putting it up on the site? Do most of the exclusives even make it to the site?

My HT had Wishverse Willow when I was in there yesterday. They usually send stuff to the stores anywhere from a day or two to a week before putting it on the site. I recall the Castiels to a while to show up online after they'd hit stores.

Checked HT today but not much new. Still no Roger Rabbit line or Book of Life. They did have plenty of American Horror Story exclusives and Pre-Release Arkham Harley

I'm kind of surprised HT didn't do more exclusives from the Buffy line. An Oz with brown hair and different clothes and a Graduation day or Doublemeat Palace Buffy would've been nice.

I'm pretty sure this is not too reliable, but I was talking to a HT employee today and when I asked about Freddy or Jason chases she said they didn't get any but she heard mention both had glow chases and she couldn't remember which one but one was going to come with a chainsaw, and she thought it was jason. Might be why that Ht site lists it as an exclusive.

I went to HT today, picked up a Chase Jason!!! Just need Michael and Leatherface to complete the horror chases!! I also picked up 3 of the Book of Life characters.
