Upcoming HT Exclusives

So HT has 30% off their entire website right now!

I'm not showing this . But I guess I'm fine with that. I'm only showing a Halloween Shipping Cutoff. Unless the 30% is hidden and shows up in the cart. They are running out of stuff online I need. I think I'd only buy the Batmobile from the choices they have. I get frustrated with their ordering system, having such a difference between in store items, and online. And like I say, I've got most of everything I want that's available to order.

EDIT: Nevermind, it's automatic on the price line. I'm used to seeing the prices lower, so it didn't register with me that that was 30% off reg price. My bad.

thats what i thought but then i saw another one from a different store with the same sticker.

Maybe HT is just putting the stickers on because they are getting them without stickers or something... IDK. That's some what odd though.

They haven't been on the site yet. Someone here said they heard they'd be adding some though. I always check multiple times a day for anything new.

I called one of the HTs near me and was told flocked Simba won't be in until late this month or early November...I wish the release of these exclusives had a more definite date. The fact that some HTs get several types of exclusives at a time while others are still waiting is kinda frustrating...

Amen... All the HTs should get the first shipments at roughly the same time. Within a few days of each, at the very least. If they can do it with books they can do it with collectibles. I'm always waiting weeks after a new release for them to even show up at my HT.

Riot gear Glenn has been all over mt HT this past week, Simba pretty much sold out in a day, now waiting on Tinkerbell

On Friday, I went to the Hot Topics at the Northridge Mall in Los Angeles and they had a ton of Flocked Simbas. I wish I picked one up now.

The simbas did go really fast. I was at one and got one for me and one for my boyfriend. Before i could even blink, this person called in and took the remaining ones - i'm guessing they were selling online.

Has your local HT implemented the buying rules for exclusives yet? Mine has a limit of 3 exclusive Pops per customer per day. It's pretty great. I always used to miss out on exclusives but now I actually find them in store.

yeah that's what all the signs I've seen posted say, nothing about the Hot Topic exclusives.

Same here at my local HT, max 3 per customer of sdcc and comikaze, the one associate told me he would see guys buy 20 of a rare pop and sell them online and he is happy he got to put the sign up so other people can find them.

My HT has a sign that says three of any one kind, SDCC or Comikaze. They've also made their pop display smaller and haven't gotten any new ones in a couple weeks so the sign might be moot. . .

Only 1 HT in my area has the sign up, which is fine cause it's the one with the most and best selection of pops, the other HT in my area has terrible selection and not many at all.

I e-mailed Hot Topic a few days ago, asking about if/when some of these upcoming exclusives will be online (Simba, Frankenstein/Bride, etc), but I never heard anything back. Guess I'll just keep checking daily

EDIT: I heard back from HT, they basically said, 'we have no idea when we will have stuff up for sale on the website, you need to check daily'.

Gotta have that Batman. If I remember correctly, Batman's cape was more blue than black in Arkham Asylum anyway, so I'll probably get that one instead of the regular AA Bats.

Has anyone noticed they post esclusive pics constantly but seem like they never release them?? Entertainment earth posted on facebook today the crop pop was finally out so i called them and they told me it was not. This pop stuff is getting ridiculous.

I'm taking it slowly, building trust, etc...but I'm close to being on the ins with two of my local HT employees . The one employee I had been talking with longer, knows me by first and last name , she asked today if I was a flipper, (which I'm not, but probably would've lied if I was, ), and I've gotten her to hold me one Bizzaro when he comes in . She saw me when I came in today, and immediately told me she has 6 new exclusive Pop!s coming in soon. I knew about the ones she mentioned, but I like the direction this heading, in other words, I might not have to be overly concerned about getting my one of each as they come . That's if that store gets them to begin with. I'll be asking them to hold the new Batman when I go back this week. I have an ship to store order.

Apparently the two talk about me, too , she said the other employee was telling her about my order, how frustrating it is that they don't get enough of each when they get them, and how the website doesn't ever coincide with in-store products. It be nice if they could do store transfers, or something. I was surprised that they discuss me when they talk about Pop!s, a few weeks ago I'd asked how many regulars they have and she said about 10. Today it sounded like less, and she did say one was probably a flipper. We had a brief philosophical talk about the practice. Both agreeing it's legal, and capitalism, and such, but as collectors it can be frustrating.

Like I say, though, I'm building the relationship slow enough to not break the trust, and not asking her for too many holds, etc...I might have a line on Vampire Spike, but if that falls through , that may be my third hold.

This might not be the most appropriate thread, but it is about HT a Exclusives, and I'm a bit happy that im making inroads here. I don't think any of my other possible retail locations are suitable for this, so it's my only chance.

EE and others also keep saying so and so Pop is new when it's actually a Pop that's been out for six months or more.

same for me and the manager at my local one, everytime I'd call he would answer my question and be like "...is this Kevin?" and I'm thinking and this past time I went, there was a girl working that was there the time the manager held a Charlie for me and went to check the back and then said "your name is Kevin, isn't it? HI KEVIN!" I always feel paranoid when people remember me for some reason... but I guess it will come in handy (he's going to hold a Vampire Spike if they ever get any in)!

Guess i got lucky. The girl at mine is really cool and she handles the stock so when things come in she sends me a picture of it and will hold it for me until i get there.

I feel embarrassed too! I wish it wouldn't be that way, because it's a hobby that I truly enjoy. I've gotten to the point where I try to call and go into the store equally. But even with calling, they still know it's me. At least it saves me the walk of shame though.

Just upload it to imgur (the big upload button on the top left)
Then after it has finished uploading, in the side will be a couple of links with different labels copy the one saying Message Boards
Then when posting, just paste the link in the post, nothing special.
