I don't know for sure, but I don't think so. I've tried to find out and all I can find is Funko's Official Vault list. I think "retired" is a fan created term to describe figures that aren't shipping anymore.

I don't think Surfer ever left. I've seen him constantly since I started collecting. I've never seen him not be some where. Also, retired might be the wrong word to use in some cases. I think its more or so that Funko no longer has the license to specific characters any more at this time.

Whatever the case, I just wish Funko was a little more open and specific about the whole 'Vault' situation altogether. I can't tell you how many conversations I've had about this and everyone I hear from seems to be generally confused- lol

I know I've been a participant in some of those conversations! I'd just like to add that whatever you think "vaulted" or "retired" means, do those terms really ever apply? Star Wars is a great example. Characters were vaulted, then brought back as "un-vaulted" so-and-so.

This is my impression as well. And I think they came up with the whole Vault idea from Disney, remember all Disney movies go in the vault and are re released every 7 years or so

Funko has announced three new Pocket Pop Figures featuring Groot and Rocket Raccoon from Guardians of the Galaxy. These will be released in November.

I'm as big as the next Marvel or Guardians of the Galaxy fan, but I had no idea Groot would be so popular. Of course the dancing Groot scene was amazing, but I didn't think it would snowball nearly as much as it has.

same, but apparently he's really popular in the cartoon series as well.

btw I knew Mystique was vaulted. she's been drying up.
but colossus was getting a bit hard to find also

Maybe if he's out somewhat earlier than expected Lola and Coulson can't be far behind?

Lola is in fact out earlier then expected, I saw it at my local comic book store this evening. I didn't pick it up yet though because I am still playing catch up on my pops. (I try to get them roughly in the order they were released). I'm still missing Black Widow, Tiana, Dr. Facillier, Louis, Lighning McQueen, Mater, Doc Hudson, Pumpkin King Jack, Harry Potter, Ron, Hermione, Dumbledore, Snape, Voldemort, Hagrid, and now Lola, Frozen Fever Elsa, Emma, Snow, Charming, Regina, Hook, and Rumplestiltskin since they are starting to show up in stores.

^^ Ya it's the same Pop as the other 2. Just a Red color now. Kinda lame all Funko seems to do is head swaps or color changes. I get it, it's cost effective, but we want new stuff! lol

I said this in the other thread but at least the X-Force truck had a new color for the chimichanga-holding mold of Deadpool. Why wouldn't they do that here but use the yellow X-Men costume or unmasked or even just metallic?

The only difference I could see is he's in a black suit ( which is strange because in AOS he doesn't wear black suits anymore. That color scheme was given to Ward. Coulson wore dark blue suits, hence the first pop having a blue suit )
