the_Archivist wrote:ReisOBrien wrote:the_Archivist wrote:So for the Game of Thrones action figures is there an expected release date and price for those? Also are you guys planning on waiting until the first wave sells before starting in on further waves? The heavy focus on the North seems like you have more up your gauntlets already than just this first wave.
Also do you plan on having lots of retailer and convention exclusives for the Action figures like you did with ReAction?
I don't have an exact release date for the GoT figures and pricing is still in the works. Yes, we'll probably see how sales go before jumping into it full force. We focused on the Wall so that all of the releases in the first wave felt cohesive. Then we'll probably move on to other themes, with playsets and hopefully large creatures that fit each theme.
No plans at the moment for exclusives for the 9POA line, but that could change if they prove popular.
I was hoping they would be available soon. I guess I'll just have to wait a bit longer.
Also, if someone were to purchase 3 or 4 The Wall playsets do they connect to make a larger wall? Because you know i hear its supposed to be kinda long.
They don't connect or anything, but you're more than welcome to set them very close to each other.

Thank you for the quick replyI thought I read about them during the 2014 12 Days of Christmas news.
It was referring to the pop! munster line.

It's a shame. They would have been a great alternative to the Diamond Select versions.

The power loader was a great surprise! Will there be any other Aliens figures? Like some marines? Or is it just the queen/ripley pack?

Reis, when might we hope to get our paws on that deeeeelightful ALIEN carrying case?
Also, I should say that there are many of us out here waiting, cash in hand, to buy single carded figures of Dallas and Lambert in spacesuits, hopefully in more muted colours like the Kane in Spacesuit we have now (and like the film!). I'm down for two of each, and two each of any more ALIEN that might ever be done.

As always, that depends on sales. This first set should be a big hit, so I'm hoping for more Aliens figures, but we'll have to see.

The Alien carrying case is a Super7 thing, Funko is not involved in that at all, so I don't have any info on it. Sorry.
Same with the Dallas and Lambert spacesuit figures. We produced these for Super7 and not sure what their plans are with those figures.

Answered? Well since not a single person has answered my question elsewhere, maybe I'll get one here.
What stands are recommended for ReAction figures? The 3.75" ones on Entertainment Earth's pegs are far too small, and I can't other ones that aren't brand stamped all over.

I don't have any but I think the Marauder Gun runner stands have multiple size pegs. They are interlocking black stands.

I think this is the link. If not, you should be able to google them pretty easily. Marauder Gun Runners.

Mr. Reis,
My daughter and I are hyped about the Dark Crystal ReAction line. When are we going to see some images of those figures?
I am more excited about Conan, when will we see some images of that ReAction figure?
Also, do you have any news when GOT figures are coming to retail?
Always thankful that you answer our nagging questions. Keep on creating ReAction figures and I will keep on buying!

Reis,
With the ReAction Figures said to be now focused more towards 70's and 80's entertainment, have you rethought any characters that might not have originally been proposed. I'd love to see Who Framed Roger Rabbit made ReAction style.

Not too much longer, but like I've said, ReAction got put on the back burner for a bit while we reconfigured our approach for 2016. So this lull should be expected. Don't worry! Stuff is coming!

It'll be a little while on Dark Crystal. We're still sculpting them.

Haven't started on Conan yet.
Not sure on the release date for the 9POA GoT figures. Pretty soon, though. I should see final paint changes this week.

Thank you so much for all of your hard work. I am up to 33 Reaction figures and can't wait to get more. I was wondering, are there any chance there might be figures for The Lost Boys, Twin Peaks, or any Stephen King movie characters? Thanks.

We have no plans for any classic V products. I've mentioned this before, but the main problem is that the license is tangled up in a lot of legal red tape, so we were unable to secure it. In short, we couldn't make them if we wanted to. At least not until the licensor clears up who owns the rights to what.
No plans for They Live at the moment, but we're looking into the license as I think we could use it many different lines (Pop, ReAction, Mystery Minis, etc.).

Re: Your ReAction Questions Answered Here!
Hey Mr. O'Brien, here's a general ReAction question for you:
What factors go into the decision to give figures in a line generic cardbacks vs. photos of the characters themselves? As evidenced with ALIEN, Ian Holm and John Hurt pretty clearly had likeness rights issues, but you got around that masterfully.
And can we hope to see more character-specific cardbacks in the future (because many of us really adore them), or will it be generics-all-around? (Don't tell me Dark Crystal will be all generic because Kira and the Chamberlain won't allow their likenesses to be used.
)

It really all boils down to likeness rights or if the licensor can provide us with approved images from the films. We will ALWAYS use photos when we can. If you don't see photos, it's because we weren't allowed to use them. The generic cards aren't so much of a choice as they are a necessity in some cases.
We are going to try to match the original unproduced cardbacks from Dark Crystal as closely as we can.

Awhh. Well I can't complain. You guys have made just about every other character I could want. Universal Monsters, Fifth Element, Nightmare Before Christmas, and then Dark Crystal AND The Golden Girls!! It's quite a diverse group of characters. I look forward to what 2016 holds.

Hi Reis. In the list of Reaction Figures for 2016, you mentioned The Addams Family
, are The Munsters still happening? It would be awesome to have characters from both of those shows. Will these be in Black & White? Colorized? Both? How many points of articulation for Thing and Cousin It? Lol! I'm very excited to hear that Star Trek: The Next Generation is still happening and I hope further waves of The Original Series, might still happen a little further down the road.
