They're not an option for the U.S. or Canada anymore due to recent policy changes (they can't ship Funko products to North America, essentially)... otherwise nothing has changed.

Not sure if I saw that post, but if you look at their site the Summer Con Exclusive stuff is all restricted sales. I don't see why NYCC would be different. I think folks are still ordering from FPI with out issue.

That was before the larger hammer came down. Now they can't ship ANY Funko products at ALL to North America.

I'm glad Funko has a booth at NYCC but I don't know how viable Fundays is for New York. I've organized enough events in midtown Manhattan personally where I know what a nightmare it could turn into. I like one Fundays at SDCC...if they did one in NY, people in Seattle, Chicago, Dallas, etc etc etc would want one and it would take away from the special vibe Fundays has...I'd like to see more Funatics organizing events...at some point I'll be doing one here in NYC...it's a lot to ask of what is still lest we all forget a toy company first and foremost

Not sure how it would take away from any one event, planning the event here is no different than anywhere else. The only variable is the financial commitment! Actually the event would allow collectors on the east coast a chance at some of the rarer pieces which is of great benefit since the company is being supported by consumers all over the world.

The financial aspect is huge...I'm going to go out on a limb and venture that booking a space to accommodate close to 2,000 people in New York is significantly more expensive. East coasters have an equal opportunity to attend Fundays, provided they're willing to make a "financial commitment" as well. If you save $15 to $20 a week for a year, you can save more than enough to go. I should know because I've done it twice, and people literally come from around the country and the world to attend. The greatest things in the world can't always land on your doorstep, sometimes you have to make things happen.
