This year will be my first year at ECCC, looking forward to picking up both and then some. How is the Funko booth at ECCC, is it as crazy as SDCC?

He looks really cool I wish I was able to make it to ECCC. Hopefully their exclusives this year won't have the crazy small numbers they did last year.

Exactly. I wasn't able to get any from last year because prices were a little too steep for me. I like this one so hopefully he can be obtained for a reasonable price.

I wonder if any of the ECCC exclusives will go up on the funko-shop like the snoopys did last year? Since I'm not going I hope so...

I hope so, too. I really wanted those Crusader Dorbz, but didn't get them. Thanks to Eddie (Jango_Fresh) I did get a Cthulhu. I'm not going to ECCC, but maybe the Funko Shop will have some stuff and I can track down a few other exclusives. The shirt is super cool and I love that Crusader Pop. I'm excited to see the other exclusives.

yah I kinda regret now passing on the snoopys when they went up on the shop but I managed to win a signed (Brian and Amos) color crusaders set in a charity auction here. One of the prizes in my collection.

Both look great. Wasn't overwhelmed by many of their exclusives last year, but this is a great start.

I'd say it's safe to assume another exclusive will be the Crusaderette POP. I hope they slowly roll out the reveals over the next 2 months!

I don't think this is a Funko booth exclusive. I assume it will be at the ECCC swag booth.
I wonder if they will have the female version as well.

I hope the answer to both of your thoughts is yes. Seems wrong to have make crusader without his counterpart. And ECCC having crusader pair items has become a tradition for them. My first year they had lego minifigs of the pair, then the dorbz and now I hope the pops.
Can't wait. Hope I see everyone there!

It depends on if it is set up the same way this year as it was last year or if it was set up like they set up SDCC or NYCC. Last year, there was no raffle system or ticket system. It was pretty much a free-for-all. I was not there, but from what I remember, the first three days, almost no one holding a VIP ticket and certainly no one holding a regular ticket was able to get anything. Those with vendor badges who were already in the hall waited until the booth opened at the open of the con and all bought the maximum to flip in their booths. If there was anything left after the vendors went through, they all went to those holding ADA tickets who are generally let in to cons early so that they do not hold people up getting to the vendor floor. On the last day of the con, they had security escort those holding VIP tickets who had lined up for hours prior to the con to the line and they did not let anyone get in the line before the VIP ticket holders were in the line for the Funko booth. I believe they were also ejecting line jumpers from the con (but it may have been only from the line).
So, to answer your question, it depends what type of system they have for the booth this year compared to last year.

Sounded pretty crazy last year and i know a good portion of the ECCC goodies ended up in the hands of resellers, which is where every single one i've managed to get came from sadly. Keep an eye on the board as well..plenty pop up for sale here as well (not at booth prices, of course). I'm sure there will be some contests too...

Hoping you can clarify since I was wondering about this too... first you said there was no raffle or ticket system. But then you said there were VIP tickets and regular tickets. Do you know which one it was for ECCC? Did people need a ticket to buy last year or was it really a free for all?

Josh means the badges. last year ECCC has VIP badges which allowed some people to enter the show ahead of those with regular general admission badges. so, to the show itself not to the booth. this year there is no such VIP badge so we don't know how the booth entrance will work.
the company who runs ECCC is now the same company who runs NYCC so i would be curious if they will do the booth entry the same way as they did NYCC this year, time will tell.

Ohhhhh ok! Thank you very much for clarifying. Yeah, I wouldn't be opposed to doing a system similar to NYCC where you know ahead of time if you have a wristband. But maybe ECCC isn't on the same scale as NYCC or SDCC so it isn't worth it to them to do that?

I think last year the VIP badges were called "Special Access" or something like that. That badge allowed you to get into the exhibit hall before people with regular badges. There was a separate queue that they took in before the mass rush.
The controversy was that when the Special Access badge holders got to the Funko booth, the queue there was already full. People assumed that it was all the exhibitors from other booths. I'm pretty sure this happened on the first two days.
On the third day, ECCC and Funko staff blocked off the walkways on all sides of the booth to prevent anyone from getting in line, and ECCC staff walked the Special Access line directly to the Funko booth. So the first person in the Special Access queue was the first person to get into the Funko booth queue. Pretty sure they did this for two days also.
I would assume that since there is no Special Access this year, Funko will implement some sort of ticketing system. I only say this because of the positive effect it's had on the crowd for both NYCC and SDCC. I think that last year, they didn't expect the demand to be that high...Which could also be why edition numbers were very low last year. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

I only say this because of the positive effect it's had on the crowd for both NYCC and SDCC. I think that last year, they didn't expect the demand to be that high...Which could also be why edition numbers were very low last year. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
Thank you for all of that great info. Hoping that they increase the numbered LE stuff so we have better chances of getting some exclusives!
Do any of you guys know if Funatics usually get together for dinner or drinks each night?

I don't think it was every night, but at least a couple times.
I remember Gordon Biersch and the Fugitive Party for sure.
