Harry Potter Mystery Minis

Great things come in mysterious miniature or pint sized packages, but which great thing will it be? It's all a mystery until you open one. Then the fun begins.

use your powers(scale) for good lol

do you happen to know if PoA dumbledore is really light? Iv been avoiding the heavy ones, I need more hermiones like I need a hole in my head, but some of the ones they sound like people (when you shake them) feel lighter then the others :-k

The list of weights I had showed PoA Dumbledore at coming in around 60 grams. He's the 3rd heaviest on the list, behind Hagrid and Hermione. McGonagall comes in slightly less weight than he does. Hagrid and Hermione, just by feel, are noticably heavier than anything else. So set those aside, and then pick the heaviest box of what's left, would be my best advice for this one!

I may go try this out this weekend, I think I may actually own a digital kitchen scale :-k .
Do you happen to know the weight of Dobby? I keep over looking that I gave all mine away and now need him to finish my set, im hoping he is easier/cheaper to find then PoA dumble

I show him as weighing 30.88 (ish) - or if you want, PM me - I have an extra Dobby I'll sell you!

I was hoping someone could tell me the weights for Nigini and McGonagall cat. I now have 4 Voldys in my attempt to find 1 Nigini so I could really use the help. Thanks!

Nagini is: 47.58/46.9/47.0
McGonaCat is: 35.41/35.0
have pulled Crookshanks like 3 times trying for McGonacat. I stopped trying. :roflmao:

My records show that Voldemort is weighing at: 43.5/44.50. So quite a large difference between him and Nagini. Unfortunately, all scales wont always weigh the same. Id say you should be able to tell the diff by shaking. Voldemort is taller and should give less when shaking up and down.

For Nagini I have 46.7, 46.8, 47.1 (nothing else is super close so you should be ok there)
For McGonagall Cat I have 34.9, 35, 35.1, 35.2 (these are very similar and in some cases the same as Crookshanks, so use with caution.

Once the layouts for B and N changed I stopped trying for Harry as well.

I got my scale AWS 1000 x 0.1 G on ebay for 6.99 shipped. And it came in one day. Most people I know use this or that Marlboro Cig pack looking scale. Ebay Item #: 191843719131. I see the seller increased it to: $7.15. Still a smoking deal.

The layouts have changed even for the standard cases. Saw 2 cases shrink wrapped at Walmart yesterday and they clearly did not match the previous layouts. So it wasn't just a B&N thing...

Yep, I gave up with the layout. So rude lol.

And thanks for the item number. I will be taking a peek at that :)

Those numbers worked great, thanks again! I had disregarded a 47.1 thinking it was Fawkes but after seeing your weights I went back to the store and grabbed it and got my Nagini! Only a few left to track down now. Dumbledore is being very elusive I've been through so many boxes with my scale and no Dumbledore yet.

That makes me feel both better and worse. If the layouts have all changed, on the one hand at least I can let go of the grudge I was holding against B&N. On the flip side though, I feel like the world is conspiring against us!

I'm not ready for a new wave, yet! My whole family is still trying to finish off this one.

I don't have a scale, I use the feel-by-weight method.

You want to know what we've ended up with? An army of extra Scabbers and Crookshanks. We still need 4 Hedwigs, 3 McGonagalls, Several of each Harry, 2 Naginis, 4 Fawks, several of both Dumbledores, 4 McGonacats, and I believe there's more, but I don't know who all has what of my family.

What do we keep grabbing? Every single time? Scabbers.
Too soon?

I've got a Hedwig, regular Harry, Nagini, and regular Dumbledore if you're interested. I also have Ron and Hagrid if you need either of those.

I think I could match your Scabbers with my Hedwigs, and I pity us both! So what are you still looking for? Of the hard-to-finds, I have an extra Padfoot and a Triwizard Harry if you need either of those.

My set has been complete for a few months and I'm not ready for a new wave.

I had to use evilBay to finish my set since I had no luck with my B&N.

That's not actually a bad haul considering how many duplicates you probably avoided! And pulling a Prof. McGonagal on the first try is awesome!

I just bought about ten mystery box for my daughter's birthday who is a die-hard Potter fan.

Anybody here has compiled the weight of each figure from the set (inside the box)? Please note that I bought boxes from the base set (not from B&N or any other exclusive dealer).

Thanks!

We did acquire a few at a B&N, and I've bought a few cheap ones from eBay. What I'm wondering is if anyone still has any extras from Series 1 that they want to part with? We really only have a couple commons to trade, but would certainly buy if prices were reasonable (eBay....OUCH!). Specifically, we still need the following:
-flocked crookshanks
-Cat McGonagall
-Padfoot
-Yule Ball Hermione

I have Cat McGonagall and Padfoot. Send me a PM if you’re interested!

We've been going in pretty much blind so far, we've got a fair few doubles from Series 2, namely about four Harrys in hat, one Ron in hat, one Snape and one Series 1 Harry. Were wondering if anyone around here would be interested in trades (we live in Michigan). Wife really wants a pygmy puff, but there are still a bunch we're missing from either set.

Cheers!

Picked up Fang, Crookshanks and Scabbers for $11.69 shipped on eBay. Not bad, given that Series 1 are all but gone from stores.
