Marvel POP! Updates Thread 2018 (Updated July 20th)

Just saw in-hand pics of Iceman on IG and cancelled my pre-order on him; the glams look so much better than the finished product :/

Yea I'm a little disappointed but I'll still likely end up picking him up, I think he looks better in bright lighting and closer to his glam

I may be biased because he's my favourite X-Men character, but I love it! Can't wait to pick up my Iceman... wherever and whenever I find him.

I can't say Iceman looks as good as I had hoped, but as he's an X-Men character, I won't be able to pass on him. I mean, I bought Beast, and although I waited a long time, and think he's very bad looking, I still had to own him.

Oh and the Superior Spider-Man pop looks AMAZING in pics, I can't wait to never...I mean...maybe find him, eventually!

Thank the lord none of the marvel wave are limited! And the youtube video shows the bucky cap with a shared exclusive sticker so at least we know for sure he's shared.

Very glad I held off on Tony Stark and Gwen Pool for these variants. Of the reveal those are the two I'm definitely excited for. Torn on Bucky Cap because I like the idea of it, but admittedly I don't know anything about the backstory, so just looking at the POP alone it doesn't mean much to me. Is the backstory something that will be revealed in one of the upcoming movies or more for comic readers only?

Seriously folks???? 0 new molds for these??? I mean I get Gwen and Tony are new molds but they're stunningly close to the commons. I gotta say, it's hard to disappoint me when it comes to Marvel but I can't help but find this wave very cheap. I might still pick up a Red She-Hulk but that's it.

Super meh reveal. Stark is cool, but IMO the common is better.

Bucky Capt had a lot more potential but is just a crappy repaint.

Safe to say no SDCC stores for me this year.

This made me sad; Bucky Cap was one of my top wants and they couldn't AT THE VERY LEAST give him a gun or a metallic paint job. Sorely disappointed. I wouldn't count Marvel out just yet though, there is still of possibility of more waves.

My *GUESS* is probably not. (again this is a guess).

I noticed they're doing the reveals different this year where it's licensed based vs a wave of random exclusives from different licenses. Looking at past SDCC there are around 3-6 items per major license and these waves seem to have about 4-5 items for each major license.

On one hand I think it's cool because if you're a fan of that license you'll for sure love at least 1-2 items of the entire wave vs seeing maybe one character in a wave that you weren't too attached too. On the other hand when you do see it all, you do have less to be excited for in the next waves knowing that license is probably done.

So yeah my 2 cents.

Although these look cool they were all characters that were apparently after the time I was into Marvel when I was a kid. (okay I admit this was a long long time ago ) I do like Tony and may try and pick up the red she hulk and buckycap as well...
