New retailers announced for the subscription boxes
Looks like the websites for some of the boxes were updated!
Marvel Collector Corps will be carried by Amazon.
Coming soon! Funko is excited to collaborate with Amazon to bring you the next phase of Marvel Collector Corps collectible boxes this summer. The best of the Marvel universe, created by Funko, delivered by Amazon.
Disney Treasures will be carried by Hot Topic.
"Coming soon! Funko is excited to be collaborating with Hot Topic to continue the adventure of Disney Treasures collectible boxes. Hot Topic will bring you the next phase of Disney Treasures starting this summer. The world of Disney Treasures, created by Funko, available from Hot Topic."
No update yet for DC or Smuggler's Bounty. I wouldn't expect to hear about who's taking over Smuggler's Bounty for a while since Funko is still committed to handling the next few boxes themselves.

Hmm curious to see where the others may go. I think both Hot Topic and Amazon will do a good job distributing these and thankfully it's not Walgreens or Target getting them

I am happy so far. While I doubt we get the convenience of a yearly subscription, at least with both locations I have a fighting chance to get them.

Being a Marvel guy, I'm happy that Amazon is getting MCC from here on. Still wished Funko would still handle directly, but Amazon isn't bad either. Just waiting for news on the new price, if it'll retain the $25 + S/H + taxes value.

Re: New retailers announced for the subscription boxes
Target should get nothing, apparently each store's stock room extends 30 miles under the store each equipped with a portal straight to offer up.
I wonder if Star Wars will go to the Disney store, my only other thought would be Gamestop but I kind of feel like Disney may want to keep that license close to home, and then we also might get dorbz in the boxes. Gamestop would be easier (for me) to get to tho, but there are also so many Gamestops I cant imagine every store would get a good amount of stock. Im happy with the first two announcements I guess we will see on the next two.

I'm just so happy that Hot Topic is getting the one sub box that I actually purchase. I was so scared that it was going to go somewhere that I wouldn't be able to get to. With it at Hot Topic, I stand a good chance getting it

Wouldn't surprise me if Target gets Legion of Collectors. They've had several exclusive DC Funko products.

I'm just hoping that since Hot Topic is getting Disney Treasures, that doesn't mean there's a higher chance that some boxes will have chases. They seem to love having store exclusives with chases.

If Target or Walmart gets LoC I might jump out of a moving vehicle.
I feel like GameStop will probably get Smugglers Bounty, I feel like they do and have a lot of Star Wars exlcusives going on.

That's good news of those 2 boxes. Amazon should be great as a leader in online sales anyways. Hot Topic understands the POP collector world so I know they'll do a good job too.
For the other 2, I could almost live with any retailer except Walmart and Walgreens! Walmart because they're not great with ordering or packaging safely. Walgreens ordering is better but I'm like 50% with getting damaged ones!

As someone with Prime, I wish they'd all go to Amazon so I can get free shipping! Which is really selfish b/c we need to keep our brick and mortar stores open. I wonder if the companies picking them up will offer subs?
You know they will!!! I look for the Disney Treasure boxes to be probably $45.

Hmmmm, looks like Smuggler's Bounty will be sold until September on their site, so we got a bit to wait on that, but wonder where DC is going to go.
Do you think there will still be teasers and things like that? So many unknown variables! AHHH

Excellent first step. Now I need to know if Amazon (US) is handling the international sales or will it be distributed to the different FCs in countries and countries Amazon branch (ie Amazon Canada) will be handling the sales?

Haha. My Target is smaller and in the "ghetto" so they don't even get exclusives. The only exception has been the recent Stranger Things exclusives. Talked to several employees and had it comfirmed, as well as multiple times looking at BrickSeek where every other Target had 6 of something, 0 allowed to sell yet and mine had just zero. Bless San Pedro.

Good to know. Hope Amazon will finally share their Funko with the Canadian site. Will be interesting to see how they handle trailers/reveals once these are with retailers.

I wonder if Hot Cash will work on the Disney Treasures box? It seems HT is adding more restrictions recently.

When they had the snafu with the Disney sub box on the Hot Topic site last year, it actually ended up being cheaper to order thru HT than it was for Funko. Granted, the whole thing got cancelled, but I don't think pricing will be too bad.

This is what I thought. I was under the impression the boxes were like LE in the thousands? But they've had a hard time moving some of them, while others go instantly. Maybe the shift to retailers is so that Funko doesn't have to worry about the overhead costs of storing/liquidating TONS of boxes.
Now that I think about it, smart business move haha.

So SW and LOC are left.... I predict LOC will probably be Walmart and SW will be Disneystore. Disney doesn't want to cut in to their SW profit margin any more!!!1 haha!!!

Why not - its not like the company doesn't exist anymore and they are just as accessible to some as FYE or Boxlunch.
