Just saw that, cannot wait. Wonder why they are waiting so long compared to when the pops came out though.

that is indeed strange. especially with the pops and legos and figures. may the 4th would have made sense too.

I am very surprised that it isn't being released on may 4th.

In wonder if the delay has to do with the reshoots on the movie?

Dorbz tend to come out much later, so could just be low priority. Either way, I'll definitely be pursuing them.

Perhaps... they changed some of the characters... Paul Bettany was added in the reshoots. As an example.

That was my exact thought. I have read that at least 80% of the film was reshot.

That is what I read. No idea if it’s true but Ron Howard is credited as the director now and for that to be allowed by the Directors Guild of America, an overwhelming amount if the film would have to have been directed by him. When he first stepped in, it was speculated that Lord and Miller woukd retain their directed by credit because they had shot all but a week or so of the production. We may never find out the full truth but Howard’s sole director credit says quite a bit.

Wow, I had no idea it was that much either! Well, as uneasy I am about this movie, I trust him as a director.

I haven't been impressed (mostly the casting of Solo) with the trailer but I do respect Ron Howard as a director so I will keep an open mind.

I’m going in with an open mind. We have seen so little of Alden’s performance that I don’t think it’s fair to judge yet. I can see why Lucasfilm wouldn’t want a Harrison Ford impersonator and who knows? We may embrace this new Solo the same way we do Ewan’s Obi.

"at least" 80% ?

i crunched the numbers. and that is 20% from being completely replaced.

that is crazy.

on a related note. i am REALLY interested in my lifetime to see what the initial rogue one was supposed to look like. all those promo stuff that didnt end up in the movie.

I recently heard an interovew with Tony Gilroy, the second director for Rogue One. He was brought on by Lucasfilm when they reallzed they were in trouble. He came in and wrote and directed several reshoot scenes to give the film more emotional impact. I would love to see the earlier version of the film. Then again, I woukd also love to read George Lucas’ treatment for Ep 7-9. I don’t think either will ever see the light of day. Here’s the article ablut the rogue one reshoots - https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.hollyw ... ts-1100060

There some good stuff here about the Solo Na Rogue One films... are we sure this is. Dorbz thread? Lol

The trailer looks pretty good, and to be honest we know nothing about the storyline of the movie. Its Star Wars and I am very excited to see it. Maybe a fresh take is what we need as there are really no expectations... unlike TLJ.

Thanks for the "tip". Ordered at the Disney store today 2 Chewbacca (hoping to get the chase) at the discounted price that was online yesterday.

Best Dorbz line hands down and I am not bias at all. I can’t wait to see the next wave after the solo line. Not impressed at all with the Solo line. I would love to have seen some more variety and not repaints.

Me too. I am hoping for a Bespin Lando. That should be an easy reprint and I can skip the Han Solo Line completely. I don’t think this wave will sell well. Very bland and it could have been so much better. There are some amazing pops.
