With Harry Potter & DC announced I am starting to get a better idea of the look of this new line! I like them especially the accessories, the little bat signal is awsome. It would be cool to see an an sdcc exclusive this year! What do you guys think!? :freddy2:

big negative for me... i feel funko is just trying to release known icons just in a "different" line to have people collect as well. Pretty soon the 5 star line will have limited editions and varieties just like rock candy, etc etc just an opinion lol

I see what you're saying. As a toy company I feel like it's what they have to do, the repetition of characters can get boring but if it sells, why not?!

I REALLY dig what I see so far. I just am hoping for some characters I personally love.

Specifically Marvel and SW stuff!

I’m not interested in any of the characters that have been announced so far, but I feel I will need to get some of the horror and NBC ones when they are announced. This line has some potential IMO especially with the unique packaging and the accessories. Won’t be crazy popular like Pop! but I can see Collectors scooping up their favorites.

I think the line is great, really love the HP ones. Secretly hoping that Funko doesn't include SW, not sure my wallet could handle it, plus already running out of room to display everything

So far I'm not in love with the new 5 Star line, but my fiance is a Harry Potter fan and bought the common set without hesitation the other day. I dig how cute and detailed they are with the little accessories even though I'm not big on HP myself. They don't have the posability of Nenderoids by Good Smile, but they're similar which may be a problem if they choose to release some for lines I collect personally lol

She loves them though which is all that matters

I was skeptical, but I saw the HP ones at BoxLunch the other day, and they are actually super cute! I love that the price point is about the same as a pop, too. I would prefer to collect these over Dorbz--and maybe even more than Mystery Minis because they are a bit bigger.

I think the best part is the $10 price point. They feel like a steal when you see how generic Pops are for the same price. My lady gave up on the Pop line in favor of going 100% on 5 Star for Harry Potter

I debated these like I did Vynl. Still really on the fence since I'm focusing on Dorbz atm. I'm more of a Marvel guy anyways and honestly don't think these will work well with a bobble-head design. Saw the Marvel bobble Vynls and didn't care for them. Its like mystery minis when they first came out (Walking Dead, Firefly, etc.) they had a unique cute look, then they started making other lines (Disney, DC) with a different look, and the bobbles for Star Wars and Marvel and they didn't really fit. I think these are to compete with the Nendroid as a lower price point.

After seeing some of the reveals of upcoming 5 Star sets, I’m really excited about the future of this line. They look fantastic! Love that they have accessories and are a bit smaller, but don’t have the frustrating mystery factor of the MM. 5 Stars are another home run from Funko imo

Agree! these little figures are much better than the vinyl imo. But that's preference. Some people say vinyl looks much more lively but the design on 5 star and harry potter wave specifically is amazing. Kinda wish they would make some designs like this for pops! cuz the props are so cool.
