Making Fun Doc Got Me Wacky for Wobblers!

Postby Batty88 » Fri Oct 05, 2018 5:13 pm

I have friends that are Pop obsessed but after watching that documentary and learning about the history of the company, the Wobblers really spoke to that retro side of me. I lived in Los Angeles for 15 plus years and Bob's Big Boy was one of my Happy Places. So they got me with that right away. Then as luck would have it, I recently moved with my family to Washington State and live an hour away from Everett! I'm super excited to check the headquarters out and even more excited to start my collection. Here are my first pieces. I'm a sucker for the Cereal Mascots and the old Harvey Comics characters. I love these pieces because they represent joy to me. Glad to be part of this community.

Congratulations and welcome to the wobbler group. I have collected pops for about 4 years now but recently got into wobblers about 6 months ago. I can say what pop hunting was 4 years ago is what wobblers are today. The wobbler community is fabulous. Everyone looking out for each other and willing to help one another out. Pops do still have a bunch like that but also have a bunch that are not. Personally I like the wobblers better than pops now but I do still have several lines that I have got to complete. If you like wobblers check out the 20 inch ones. They are 10 times better. I'm up to 11 of them now and had to stop because my funds ran out. Best of luck to you and enjoy the wobblers!

I've also started collecting more wacky wobblers over the past year or so. There's nothing like adding what I believe to be an awesome wobbler and the joy of taking it out of box. I keep most of my pops in box, but every single wobbler is freed and I love it :)

From one newcomer to another — welcome! Those are some great Wobblers you have already, so it looks like you're off to a good start. I actually started with Pops (and have a pretty solid collection imo) and recently spread out to the Wacky Wobbler Bobble-Banks. I'm on the hunt for my first Wobblers right now, and I'm hoping they'll be Cereal Monsters, as I'm a huge fan of them too (especially Count Chocula).
