Super Deluxe Vynl Potential?

Postby Nachotastic » Sat Nov 03, 2018 10:01 am

After I saw on instagram the leak of the jack skellington Diamond collection Super deluxe vynl, I went to Poppriceguide to check which super deluxe vynl already exist. The answer is obviously not that much.
My question is now: do you see potential in this line or not (because of the price).
I actaullay was thinkin about buying the tree skull because it looked really dope.

I love the Super Deluxe line & the Jack with Zero has been the very best yet IMO. I’d love to see some more Disney characters, but some Anime characters would also be so cool!! Especially a DBZ Eternal Dragon

I thought it was dead before the Jack came out. My GameStop still hasn’t sold all the ones from the initial wave, and they still have Jack, so I’d say that this line is not popular, and likely won’t be in the future.

I liked when they went on sale for like $15 at GameStop. Seriously though love the style and size if they keep them coming at a slow rate and keep picking awesome characters everything should be ok.

Funko has done more stylized, larger (and expensive) pieces with Hikari before with not as much success. Their target market tends to prefer smaller and cheaper pieces. I don't know if the Super Deluxe will do well due to its size or price point. However, I loved Jack and Zero and bought it right away from Box Lunch.

I like the new jack. Just dont think this line will take off. I know its been around. I have the deadpools. But at the $80 range. Most people wont buy them.

Price point is the stickler on these, makes it hard for folks to decide!

Yes absolutely, more disney would be cool. The problem I have is the price point of these, I mean they are pretty good sculpted, but I like Pop!s more and I could buy more pops for the money :P

Also add the size which makes the typical funko collector have a hard time to fit it with their collection of pops for example.

I agree completely. I went back and forth for a good hour with the Jack and zero on the funko shop and in the end decided against it because of the price. I love NBC but just couldn't justify the $80 with Christmas right around the corner :(

The normal Jack and Zero were at about $46 at Box Lunch without any coupons, so I think if they could keep them at that price point they would be much more attractive/popular. I love the style more than Hikari so I'm a fan.

I agree. I love the Jack and Zero and don't think the regular price was out of the question. I don't see the line taking off at $80, but $30-40 might give a small market.
