Paka Paka Gachapon by Funko
Who’s checked this out on Funkos IG? Looks pretty cool, sounds like they will be in Gachapon machines at GameStops this fall! For those of you that aren’t familiar take a look at BlackSeed toys as well, this is where Funko acquired the license for these awesome little Kats.

Not really something that should be well known or anything if you’re not following designer toys, so you are probably not alone! But none the less, looks fun if anything!

I’ve always hoped for Gachapon culture to come over to the US, I am glad Funko is the company to make it happen! Hopefully it sticks!

I can't find the Kawaii Village or the Third series on any gashapon site, they could be original

There's eventually going to be enough of these where people on ebay will sell a lot of 50 for $20 only for all of them to be all commons.

I wonder how absurd these will get? Because some of the Gacha Gacha can be a little WTH.

Cartoon, sounds like the gachapon machines will have a screen that will play these videos

According to an interview with Brian I saw on one of those videos playing inside of GameStops, they’re games, not cartoons. Each machine will have all three lines, you pick which of the 3 games you want to play, and that determines which of the 3 toy lines you’ll get.
Not sure if your results in the game determine the rarity of the toy you get, but that would be kind of cool if the rarer toys only went to the people with the highest game scores.

That could get interesting! And I would probably dump a lot of money into it to practice and get rares

I need to amend my previous post. I guess I misunderstood whatever video I saw. Just spoke with someone who works for GameStop and got to use one of these machines in person at the recent expo GameStop held for its managers a couple weeks ago and they told me it isn’t a game at all, just a cartoon that plays as other people speculated.
My apologies for the confusion.

Still sounds fun Maybe there are "chase" videos as well so you have to play multiple times to get to see the various ones. Or it's just one and we'll get sick of it when we play multiple times to get the rare.
