Universal Monsters Horror Mystery Minis UPdate THEY'RE HERE

Great things come in mysterious miniature or pint sized packages, but which great thing will it be? It's all a mystery until you open one. Then the fun begins.

i'm ok with having harder to find rarities, but 1/6 is just garbage, especially when they take up more than half the friggin case! I found 4 more in a different Walgreens today, but the fear of spending $30 on 4 more dupes kept me from even trying.

Yeah I got completed scared away by those 2 mixed up cases but I did grab 1 and got a 1/6 Dracula. I may just buy them on ebay to save myself the headache of getting doubles and triples.

that's where I am already to be honest, the Moleman is the only one I really want and with him not being one of the many 1/6 i'll just save myself a headache and just ebay him.

Because theres no layout....

The rares hop around the case and can alternate between layers. Your focus should be on finding the pairings.

It seems that Funko may be moving in that direction as ST2 and Ad Icons were also pairs and not layouts

sure, but at least the Icons only had 2 1/6 in the set and not over half the case being dupes.

So I saw a fresh case at Target and utilized the weights posted a few pages back because I only wanted the Moleman and Creature. I didn't want to take any unnecessary chances so I grabbed the two closest to Creature's weight and the two heaviest since Moleman looked heavier on the glam.

As expected, I pulled Bride and Creature, then... Moleman(!) and the visible Invisible Man (who was strangely heavier than the Moleman by like half a gram or so).

So now, other than the B&W Creature, I'm almost done!
Or did you think I'd be too stupid to know what a eugoogoly was?

Yeah, I’d like to reiterate how important pairing are when hunting minis. Even if you have a scale, with weights being similar in some sets (like Monsters), you need to use the fact that 1/6s are always paired together to figure out cases.

I managed to find a 1/72 black and white phantom since he's the heaviest but that 1/72 invisible man is grouped in with all the 1/6's. So I doubt I'm going to find him unless I come across a full case that Walgreens leaves in the box and does not put individually on the shelves.

That's the worst! At that point its more luck than skill. You'll have to resort to the shake test to get a better feel for whats inside to make a better guess. I've noticed for the most part WG has been good with keeping them in the cases. The issue I've run into is when they start condensing multiple cases into one ](*,)

Ah yes, that will happen too. At least with that you can sometimes tell because as you mentioned, the pairings will be off. But these ones have such similar weights that it can be hard to tell that.

Do you know the weight of the Phantom? It's one of the few I'm still missing from both sets, though none of the stores I've been to have restocked anyway. TIA

What's weird is that for Walgreens, they are 4.99 at some of the locations and other locations have them for 9.99. Anyone notice that?

i'm so done with this friggin set. couple weeks ago I found 2 at a Walgreens near me and ended up with Frank & Wolfman, not who I really wanted but I didn't have them so I wasn't too disappointed. I went into the same Walgreens today they had 2 more, I could clearly tell they weren't the same as each other because of the weight so figured at least i'd end up with something different..... friggin Frank and Wolfman again, what are the odds ](*,)

I went into the same Walgreens today they had 2 more, I could clearly tell they weren't the same as each other because of the weight so figured at least i'd end up with something different..... friggin Frank and Wolfman again, what are the odds ](*,)

Should be $5.99. It was changed/updated from $9.99.

Yeah, when I bought mine the tag said $9.99 but when I had them verify they rang up as $5.99.

So far I have doubles of all of these. Sill missing color 1/24 Dracula, color 1/72 Invisible Man, b&w Moleman and both Phantoms (haven't been able to find this in spite of its reported extra weight)

70% off on these now. I found a full case today and because I hadn't bought many prior I got the whole things. $1.79 per mini lol It was the dual 1/24 case but now suddenly I just need the 1/36 and the 1/72 invisible man to finish it
