For this week, I thought I'd bring out a set of Funko originals - the Beatnik.

The original "Chairman of Fun," Mike Becker, supposedly modeled the Beatnik character after his nephew, but wasn't sure what color hair to go with. In 2001, the first production run of 3,000 was half Blonde and half Brown. After that, another 8,000+ brown haired Beatniks were made, which made the blonde Beatnik highly sought after. In 2002, Funko made a short run of 480 red-haired Beatniks and randomly inserted them into cases of brown-haired Beatniks. Later in 2002, Funko made only 48 Gray Beatniks, which were given out to invited guests at the first Annual Freddy Awards in September 2002, in Seattle. The gray hair base reads, "2002 Freddy's."

I love these pieces! Such a great set that shows that Funko created characters I wish they had created more for the WW line.

Sweet, Scotty! I love the Beatnik Wobbler's!

I figured any time of year is a good time to Bumble but especially a Wobbler Wednesday. These 2 are from the 2010 SDCC. Sparkle Bumble is LE 48 and Flocked Bumble is LE 240.

Where are all the Wobbler collectors? From the comments, it seems like quite a few new collectors are branching out in to Wobble-dom.

Well, it's Wednesday and I'm bored out of my mind. Self-isolation makes for looong days. I hope everyone is staying healthy.

Since I'm posting first, I suggest everyone post one of their favorite colorway alternatives. There are so many to choose from.
As Pop Art sets go, I've always thought the Banana Splits set was a great looking set--so much so I didn't even collect the originals.
