Re: Funko Soda Figures!
Funko is really tempting me to collect this line with the NBC additions. I always love to see more GITD figures, although for this one I prefer the facial expression of the regular Jack. I really need to trim back my current collection though before I can consider collecting a new line.

The flocked Ross is fire! They really did hit a homerun with this Soda line. Fun to open and easy to display. I've had some of my co-workers ask that they are. If I have a dupe, I let them have it to display. Hopefully it will bring them to the Funko side.
I am not in danger, I am the danger! A guy opens his door and gets shot and you think that of me? No. I am the one who knocks!

The floodgates have opened and I am ready!!!!!!!
What's best is if they started with a Mickey or similar it would just be assumed they would be doing a couple of the known ones and that's it
But starting as deep as Clarabelle? Who has never even had a Pop before? We could be going all the way in and getting all those characters
I think Funko might have actually listened to the posts here about doing this

Yeah that is awesome. It feels like the Soda line has more of a focus on retro characters which is what I prefer.
Retro in both character choice and also can design, the can design has become one of my favorite parts of the line.

Staying in my lane is really tough with this line!!!!
I'm trying to stick to a few sublines, like TMNT, Hanna Barbera & Ad Icons, but these deep, DEEP animation choices are irresistible!
We may see the Mighty Heroes after all! (knock 3 times if you're old enough to remember that obscure cartoon)
And of course I've got to get Superman (that Bizarro may be the best chase yet), and Aku is a work of art!

WHOA! That is some serious Soda figure be thrown down by Funko today!
I hope the more obscure characters means Funko has long term plans for this line! As animation junkie I love seeing Clara-belle but I would be bummed to get her and never a Mickey or Donald.
The uneven character mix and early demise of VYNL still stings a little bit for me...

Re: Funko Soda Figures!
Love the new wave. TWO flocked and a second TMNT! And those HB Sodas were a couple of my top wants. Really can't wait for these. Potentially my fave wave so far, though if I'm being honest I still love them all.

Re: Funko Soda Figures!
Love seeing the positive reactions and the large amount of sold out preorders at places I am seeing! Entertainment Earth being sold out of lots including the Wacky Races and Aku and Donny.
Also lots of positive reaction for Clarabelle. I am now noticing the mold changes for chase and non-chase.
I agree, this may be my favorite wave. At least second favorite if including the big first batch.
Also Brian teased of 3 Hanna Barbera sodas being announced this month, maybe the last will be a Funko Shop exclusive? I have a feeling they will drop Boo, Woody and that one all in one drop.
Also really like the can art colors. Like how Muttley and Dastardly are opposite colors of his outfit.

Re: Funko Soda Figures!
I knew I needed that Aku as soon as I saw it! As someone who missed out on the Samurai Jack Pop! two pack, I absolutely want the sodas of him and Jack. Can anyone answer me as to why his chase has that specific design, though? I've seen the show, but I don't quite recognize that look.
Edit: Nevermind, I think I found the reason for that chase's design!

I am so glad I was able to get donatello. I usually rely on entertainment earth, but it sold out by the time I saw this. I ended up going to pop n beards. I hope I can find it elsewhere. I am concerned about going through them. I have heard mixed things.
At least I got both leonardo and michelangel through either fye or entertainment earth.

These new drops are crazy good want the Donatello, Bizarro Superman, and Aku. Guess I'll be spending more for the pre-orders this week.

I'm gonna need that Superman!
On a side note, it took me a few months before I realized these weren't figures that came with real soda, bahahaha. Ugh.

I feel the same way. I have given up on holding back for Disney. It is just oo hard. I might have to make some hard decisions for space reasons soon. It might be time to trim down my DC, marvel, and miscellaenous collection. I might have to even trim down my harry potter collection. Disney is nonstop awesome releases.

Yeah it would probably not fit in on the shelves with the others but could be something very cool. Big Gruesome could be a cool first one for that one. Or a Giant Stay Puft

I think the human characters would be easier to design vs the dinosaurs...I'm just thinking about the restraints and that come from the soda can packaging.

Yeah, plus I know they have to think about a 'chase' version for each one they do. I was thinking they could easily do a Malcolm regular, and a shirtless malcolm variant without changing the mold too much.
