Re: Rumors of a Soda wind-down
Other than C2E2 Jiminy Cricket, I can't even remember the last Soda that was announced. Probably one of the Funko shop coolers, but I can't remember anything else being revealed.

And fascinating enough I've found way less paint blemishes on them.
They’re probably much easier to create and produce.
They do have a surprising amount of detail in them.

Re: Rumors of a Soda wind-down
As much as I like them, I never thought sodas were going to be a permanent thing. However, I am surprised they lasted this long. I’m hoping if they are winding down we won’t be subjected to them in boxes of fun in the future.

I just hope SODAs don't go away. I rather see them get released once in a while, such as a con.

I second this. I don’t love sodas as much as I did in 2022 but I would hate for them to disappear completely

Yes, keep them at 5,000 or smaller runs (with chases) and they will have a market. In my opinion, adding a separate international can and then removing the limited runs took some of the allure away from the line.

They are smaller than pops but cost almost double. I feel they could’ve been managed better. At the current cost and with the over production, I rarely buy them anymore. Most of the chases I get now are from trades or eBay. It just costs too much to try for chases. And, there is no market for extra commons.

Funny thing, I've only ever setup 175 of them at once so far. I ran out of room. I'm still searching for a bigger table to display them all.

I see your point. I only buy the fandoms I enjoy. I know going for all of them can be expensive. Which is why I try to look for preorders on bundles (chase and common).

The Soda line has some really fantastic figures that are much more detailed than some of the pops, I hope that they continue on in some capacity. I enjoy them far more than Vinyl Gold or Bitty Pops.

With the last few 6 pack coolers not selling out even at a discount price do you think they stop making those? That was the last major item before the wind down it seems (avatar one)

That would be disappointing - I like them. Although to be honest I don't have many but that's simply a space/display issue. I only go after a few select characters.

I hope they continue Sodas. I love the uniqueness in design and the weight of them. Just like the Dorbz i love the slight weight they have on them. The cans are nice for display and doesn’t take much room. I just love the popping noises when opening one.

One of the main reasons it seems is that people cant afford a lot of soda's. Speaking from a international view they cost $30+ down here because of the shipping weight ect make them very unaffordable.
Another reason people think and i think could be a strong contender is because bitty's are outselling them. There cheaper, ezyer to display and also strike the minature market.
If this ends up being true how does it make you feel?
I wish they would keep on doing sodas I thought Funko was doing well with them just the high Le ones, no Le, and international were hurting them. Hopefully they still do the lower Le ones like they started with.

With the cost of living rise and everything i think sales were being effected state side to. I know down here it costs $30 for a basic one so its priced itself out of the easy collector markett.

Sodas are hit or miss, with POP figures they're way more in demand. I do like the sodas more depending on the character, sometimes they bring out more than a POP would

The problem they pushed out to fast and to quickly with these sodas. Taking away the limited piece count on some (like the Marvel ones) really made sodas become not as fun to collect. Seeing opened cans at Walmart just made it feel cheap.

Seeing opened ones at Walmart is sad. That is sadly chase hunters with low morals. I do think the sodas are fun though.

I hope they continue. I would bet that the slow down is due to the fact that they aren’t a retail friendly product (peo open them in store) and they are getting more expensive due to the cost of packaging etc. I still want to see the regular version of Drooper from the Banana Splits released!

Well said! I hope that we still get some but I understand the packaging concerns. I can't go into a store and see a sealed soda anymore

I 100% believe the downfall of sodas was when they started doing non-numbered sodas in retail stores like Walmart and target
