Pops are alive and well at target
Was at the target this evening picking up my meds and stolled down the toy aisle. There were tons of pop there. Marvel, Star Wars and DC. Also plushies were there.

Re: Pops are alive and well at target
im super new here.
didnt want to start a new topic to introduce myself.
i got into pops! when i saw them at work (Target).
these are supposed to come out this week nationwide for the planogram team, but ours is a week fast.
i work in electronics/toys so i saw them the day they were put on the shelf, looked so awesome.
i ended up loving all of them, pulled all the ones that didnt have doubles off the floor,
and purchased them once my shift was over. Now i have my current collection of 9
including the dc marvel and star wars lines.
ended up doing some research and found this site. now im a member.
i dont have a cool story, haven't collected for years. this is the first thing ive actually wanted to have for myself and im proud that it has a cool community.
i recently also saw the disney series when i went to the mall, they had all 12 in abundance , at least 4 of each model.
i was thinking of purchasing some, bought 4, then returned them the next day. couldn't justify the means at the moment. i do need them all though. i will get them all.

Welcome, Jacare!!!!
I've stopped looking for Funko at my Target - they just don't carry it any more. But they always have a good stock of cabbage and sweat socks.

i dont see why not, they should have it up this week.
i can give you a dcpi (item number) and they can look it up for you.
chances are they still have them in the back somewhere.
good news is we will continue to receive these for a while,
so dont freak if we dont have the one you need in stock
also for all you that did by the Marvel collection, check your
receipts to see how much you payed, there was a glitch in the system which
was ringing these up as a Captain america 2 pack for 15 dollars.
happened to me, all you do is go get it priced adjusted at the return guest for the correct price.
thank you for the welcomes everybody, real excited for my new addiction!
if you ever have questions about the line at target, im here to help.
still trying to understand the lingo but its tough.
what is a chase? and how long ago did these come out?
how did you all get the rare ones? im so lost

Re: Pops are alive and well at target
Welcome to your new addiction Jacare. The DC line had chase pieces with them originally. The chase pieces looked like the regular pieces but have a shiny metallic paint. They are beautiful. There is usually on per case or 36 pieces. So they are kind of rare. I dont think the Marvel or Star Wars lines have chases. If you want to get the really cool comic con versions head over to GeminiCollectibles.net and you will find them there. There were only 480 of each made. Steve is selling them for 15 which was the same price as the San Diego Comic-Con. Good luck in you new funko hunt.

Re: Pops are alive and well at target
Just went to the Target over by my work and they had both Star Wars and DC Pop. They were hanging on pegs which I almost missed since I was looking on the shelves for them. No chase pieces that I saw.

I went to a couple of Target stores today and saw some Star Wars Pop but nothing else but they did have pegs for Marvel. I guess they just have not received them yet. No chase pieces on the SW.

Re: Pops are alive and well at target
Pop Heros must be doing very well. Most of the Target Stores I visited today while running household errands were completely picked over.
I gather Walmart & ToysRus are no longer carrying Funko? At least I did not see them or a tag for where they would be.
Frye Music carries a good selection of Movie Pop & Music Pop pieces but no chase pieces.

I've actually seen a couple chases at a Fye so I think it can happen.

Has anyone I mean anyone seen a chase at target yet???? I have checked 18 targets and have seen a ton of pops but haven't even seen one chase. I don't think targets get the chase pieces.

Target had chases before... When the wobblers for Iron Man 2 came out, so I don't know why this would be different...
