Re: Zur En Arrh Batman (Target)
This is gonna be a pain to get a hold of. I went to target for other stuff at 2:30 and decided to check on the batman pop since I was already there even though I knew there was no chance any would be left at that time. I was surprised to see two groups of people looking for it too when I randomly stopped by that late in the day.

Re: Zur En Arrh Batman (Target)
Seriously Tres stop having awesome looking displays! Glad you were able to snag one though
And I'm really curious about how these were distributed around the US. I've checked the site every day and 0 Targets in the Kansas City area have received any of these shipments. I only went to 3 Targets around town so maybe the site wasn't updated, but I didn't see any of the SS POPs at any of the Targets I visited. Pretty strange if you ask me.

I have been to 3 Targets in the Orlando area within the past 3 days and haven't seen any of these Batmans! Maybe Florida hasn't got shipments of these yet? Ughhh, really want this POP!

Ah! I'm a huge Batman guy, and this Pop is from two of my favorite story lines. Love the Mattel figure I have of it. Here's hoping my stores get theirs in soon. Let's hope for an unmasked Batman level of mass shipping!

I think Funko made these as part of the deal with Target as kind of a thank you and to promote the new sections which I'm sure will only get bigger. That's massive distribution for them so it kind of makes sense.

Wow. I guess at least now we have confirmation on whether there would be more or not. Did they say any specific numbers for how many were made?

No they just said it was very very limited and each store only got so many and they won't receive anymore.

Re: Zur En Arrh Batman (Target)
Well, I think it's something like 1,700-ish Targets in the US. Some got around 4 and some didn't even get the SS set at all. So at most, it could be somewhere around 6,800 produced, but if a lot of stores didn't even receive the shipment then it's probably less than that.

Re: Zur En Arrh Batman (Target)
A lot of stores did receive their shipments and they contained only Suicide Squad characters. So I think it's probably 5,000 or less and in reality I think it's closer 2,000. Target has 1800 or so stores so if The top 1/3 let's say received shipments to draw in more customers then that's 2400. Maybe every store will get them but I'm thinking only the top 20% or 30% stores probably got them. There's 400 sold listings on eBay and many more sold through other apps like mercari. I don't know I'm just spitting out numbers so take everything at face value. Just thinking out loud.

There's definitely been a big push to market Target on Funko's behalf. They don't usually stir the pot on a store exclusive as they have this Batman

Love the display Tres! As a huge batman fan I'm disappointed I couldn't track this one down. But glad many on here were before the flippers got to them.

Re: Zur En Arrh Batman (Target)
Welp: Both stores in my area had managers who told me that they only put out 6 Pops from the shipment because "there's no room" (there's 3 spots for Pop displays in both stores, there's definitely room)...
The next day, brickseek shows 6 in stock instead of 12 from both stores and an employee tells me via the telephone that a manager bought a case of 6 for himself.
I'm never going to Target or Walgreens for exclusives again. It's not worth the gas or frustration.

I drove to three Targets near me and all have SS pops but no Batman or exclusive Joker to be found. I even tried to target those with higher stock numbers on Brickseek. Oh well.

BrickSeek is telling me that a Target that is about 2 hours from here still has all 12 in stock, and they've all been in stock since Monday. That almost seems like it has to be a mistake. I find it hard to believe that no one has been in that Target and bought a Suicide Squad Pop all week.

This is exactly how I feel. All 3 of the Targets near me didn't even get the exclusives, just 12 commons. If they were hoping to drive customers away from their stores after this release then mission accomplished. After this and the Fallout Nuka Cola fiasco, Target is now my most hated store. I may just buy all the rest of the future target exclusives on Popcultcha so they don't get any more money from me.
But both Target and Funko themselves have frustrated me with this release. Target with their horrendous distribution, and Funko for fanning the flipper frenzy with their multiple unnecessary "ultra-rare" statements about this batman.

I really wish this pop had its own number so we could try finding it in stores. As it is now it's just a crapshoot based on how many each location has in stock.

Are you near me because I think I saw the same Target that had 12 in stock?

I wasn't about to drive all the way up there today though just on the off chance that they may have the exclusives.

The one I saw was in a place called Hixson. Never heard of it, but the wife says it is just north of Chattanooga. (I did check a map just to make sure she was right. Shouldn't have second guessed her because she was correct, of course.

If it comes down to it, I guess I can make the drive. I may give them a call to see though because that's a long haul for a Pop that may or may not be there.
Is that the same one you saw?

No, this was in Bristol, VA. I'm in the Tri-Cities so I guess I'm more east than you.

Don't waste your time or gas. Chattanooga, Hixson, and Cleveland TN never got any exclusives, just two cases of commons. And I don't think anyone has bought many of the commons because all 3 are still showing 11-12 on brick seek. Those are the only 3 targets near me and of course not a single one would get the exclusives

Agree 100%. Sure, making something limited raises interest in the broader brand, but how they handled this Batman is extremely short-sighted in my opinion. This is exactly the kind of stuff that alienates collectors and pushes us closer to the bubble bursting. If you want to make it somewhat limited but still drive traffic into Target for this new partnership, you can still do it while ensuring that every store gets at least a couple of these and had Targets reasonably well stocked for a few weeks or so. It makes sense to have con exclusives ultra limited, but makes zero sense for a store exclusive because I don't think it accomplishes the goal. And someone please explain the purpose of their comments recently on the rarity? Now real collectors (who are your core customers, by the way) have to pony up $100+ to get one. Ride that hype machine, Funko!

It'll take more than this to push me away completely, but I'll be honest, this is a straw on the camels back. More nonsense like this and eventually it'll break and a fan/customer will be lost. Maybe you replace me with 10 casual fans, but I guarantee together they're not buying as much as I am at the moment.
Mini rant over. Carry on...

And not to mention that Funko doesn't see any of that extra money that the flippers make. Instead, we have less money to spend on other Pops because it costs us a ridiculous amount to get something that shouldn't be so limited. Aggravating.

When Funko posted a blog about the release, they worded it in a way that made it sound like every Target should have gotten some of the exclusives. It makes me wonder if maybe this has something more to do with Target's distribution rather than Funko's intention.

Thanks for the heads up. Cleveland was another one I noticed on BrickSeek that had like 10 or 11 still. I will effectively be cancelling my road trip for tomorrow. Again, thanks for letting us know.
