Golden Age Batman (Specialty Series Wave 2)

Postby Tinit » Thu Jul 07, 2016 7:14 am

Batman is quite possibly the most famous comic book hero in the world, appearing in many many formats, guises and media. This version has The Dark Knight in his Golden Age appearance! This figure will only be made one time and is VERY limited.

The Golden Age Batman vinyl figure stands around 9 cm tall. Packed in an illustrated window box.

Is this part of any series or is it like the Specialty Series?

No idea about the background to the pop....whether it is a series or not, but I love the look of this one with his cape. Thanks so much for posting!

Oh man, I really dig the pose! The hands and the cape are great! I thought I already had enough Batmans in my collection but this is another must-have!

I managed to get one, hopefully it doesn't get cancelled. FP are usually quite good with orders though

I missed it but I would have a felling there will be a US release as well.
The release date and set (there was a Goldern Age Flash Dorbz as well) seem to fall in line with the new Specialty Series. I have a feeling this will be at comic shops following Cosmo & Howard.

Maybe this is the international version of a limited batman pop?? Hopefully not

They're also using the "DC" from rebirth, I thought they just changed the packaging recently?

Is that forbidden Planet making that statement or was that a Funko statement that they had on their website. If it was FP I think they're just being salesman trying to panic people into ordering. Seems like a new mold like this would see a fairly wide release.

Feels strange, I don't recall FP getting Cosmo or Howard but they were the first to offer Batman and Flash. Hope it's easily available for everyone

Yeah I managed to get the batman before it sold out thankfully. Just thought it was unusual as Popcultcha typically put up the exclusives first

Got some news from one of my comic shops. He told me apparently the deal with these is they were only supposed to go to local mom and pop stores that are official funko distributors. But right at the last second Diamond Select was able to get an account and they are saying this is a one time thing to boost awareness of diamond products. So now Diamond and everyone who has an account with them are now able to order these. Some examples he said are entertainment earth and he also said gamestop will be getting them. He said each store will probably get a case of 6 since they all have accounts. He also said he was able to order 36 of them so comic stores and mom and pop shops should be able to order more than one case, a master case I guess. Just passing along the info I got from him. If anyone here actually has an account with funko or diamond and can confirm or comment on this I'd like to hear what they have to say.

So I have a friend who owns a comic shop. I called him with this info and he looked on his Diamond account ordering page and does not see this listed? Any UPC code or anything he can track this down by on the Diamond vendor site?

Nah I'm waiting for a Batman exclusive where his right hand is up and his left hand is down by his waist. Also with his cape swirling the opposite direction. And with him wearing sunglasses. THAT ONE will be a MUST HAVE!!

Hi Guys,

Long time lurker, first time poster.

If anyone is still after a Golden Age Batman Pop, there's an online store here in Australia that is still taking pre orders.

https://www.popnation.com.au/pre-order- ... r-customer

Not sure if you'll be guaranteed one or not, but their a pretty good supplier. Ive been using them for about a month now.

Diamond will not be offering these. Retailers can only get them from Funko.
