I Need a Freddy Fundays Bank History Lesson

It don't mean a thing if it ain't got a spring. Come inside and chat about Funko Wacky Wobblers (bobble heads, for the less sophisticated).

I Need a Freddy Fundays Bank History Lesson

Postby TheJobaFett » Tue Nov 12, 2013 11:05 pm

I know there is/was a relationship between Less Than Jake and Funko based on the number of LTJ-based pieces and exclusives there are. My question is how the FunDay's exclusive banks of Freddy holding a Pez and wearing an outfit based on that Pez ended up being basically an Evo Kid (right name?) with a Freddy head? I am certainly not complaining since Funko gives these pieces that retail for $350 or more, if you can even find them, for free, I'm just curious why the Evo Kid body is still being used if the reason isn't that its the original mold and its easier to just create a new Pez head then a completely new mold or 2 every year.

You answered your own question. If memory serves me, only ONE Freddy has an original body. All the rest are "borrowed" from other sources. It's much cheaper to make a head for an already-made body. Of course, if you really pay attention, most of those heads already exist for other pieces too. The secret is in the paint!
