It's always a bad sign for Collector's and Specialty Retailers When a Companies Product starts showing up in Discount Stores like Target and Walmart.

maybe it's a Fox thing.

Also, maybe it could bring more people into Funko. It could go either way. they used to be carried at national chains like Spencers, Suncoast, Sam Goody, etc.

I would rather see them at Target than less than retail on Ebay. Hopefully it will generate some new collectors.

 besides the fact that funko always released cool retro characters from my era. i liked the fact that cof wanted to keep funko small and only sold to speciality shops and independant businesses. support the little men, i say! i would much rather buy my stuff from swell guys like brad, ron, chuck, & brett than going to target or walmart to get my wobbers, spastiks, etc.

Funko during the Mike Becker era sold to Target, Walgreen's and other large retail stores.

We sell often to big distributors who once in a while will put an older product like Homer series #1, Stewie Series#1 etc. into a large store. These are currently in target now.

As a general rule it makes no sense to sell to a mass discounter with current products. I was also told by this distributor who placed our products in Target that the retail is $9.99.

Funko often releases a few products that make sense in more "mass" type stores. Simpsons, Family Guy and Peanuts are such licenses are such licenses. Other licenses like Mad Monster Party, Hanna Barbera, Count Chocula, Speed Racer etc. obviously do not translate well into "mass".

Funko will always strive to attain a balance of big licenses and small licenses such as Hawaiian Punch, Woody Woodpecker, Chilly Willy etc..
For FunKo to make it as a business, we must do a little of both..
How else could we make 12" El Kabong's!!!! ;) And silly stuff like 7 foot Wally Gators..

Mike Becker did a wonderful job of striking this balance, I only hope to do the same...

I was in Target this afternoon and snapped a pic with my phone.

I wouldn't mind if Target carried more of the funko line, its really the only place in my area that I've seen anything Funko.

Your right Brian, it makes good business sense to put the more well known, popular characters into the mass market. There is also that chance that they will get hooked like everyone on here.

I SAW THOSE WOBBLERS AT TARGET YESTERDAY. IT WAS A LITTLE WIERD SEEING THEM THERE. WHAT'S UP WITH THAT STUPID RED STICKER ON THE FAMILY GUY WOBBLERS? IT WAS REFERING TO TRADING CARDS OR SOMETHING. NOTHING TO DO WITH THE WOBBLERS.

definitely not recently. the last wobbler batches released to target in 2017, under completely different design and aesthetic as the original wobblers from the beginning of funko. they sold terribly and i would imagine were pulled from shelves rather than bought
