Talking Wobbler Question

Is there a trick to the talking wobblers. I just got one and can't get it to talk. I removed the plastic thing from the bottom. I also put in new batteries. I can't get it to talk because the initial two words it says when the batteries are put in. Not sure if this is a bad piece or if I'm just being a newb and can't figure it out.

Mine talks ( i immediately put the tab back in ! ) Send it back.

So is it as soon as his head wobbles it is suppose to talk?

Mine did as soon as i took the tab out and then every time i made him wobble .

If you removed the plastic shim completely then try a different battery. If that doesn't work i would return it. Sometimes the plastic shim can break off and there could still be a small piece between the metal contacts and the battery making it not work properly.

Perhaps some flowers and a nice box of chocolates would get it to talk to you.

Hey, gang, I was wondering...... Most of my talking wobblers have never been out of their boxes as I store them behind protos. Should I remove all the batteries?

That might not be a bad idea. I'd hate to see some battery corrosion ruin some pieces.

If you remove them, be sure not to swallow them and don't place them in your nose or ears.

This could be a major undertaking

I'll be sure to keep all orifices battery free. But if, for the sake of illustration, one were to take a battery from, say..... Snookie, would one then become totally useless, utterly obnoxious, filthy rich and reek of hair spray?
