Is there no collector interest in the wacky wobblers?

It don't mean a thing if it ain't got a spring. Come inside and chat about Funko Wacky Wobblers (bobble heads, for the less sophisticated).

I am one of those folks! When i first started really getting into collecting 10 months ago, i said i would never collect wobblers. Then i completed my Iron Man Pop! collection (which was my main focus) and i was like crap what do i do now? So i slowly started to collect the Iron Man wobblers and the more i collected, the more they grew on me. I started to notice how much more detailed some of them are, and that they had so many cool variations. Now i am hooked on wobblers!

I know of Wacky Wobblers. But I'm not into wobblers, so I passed. On the other hand, a close friend of mine does like Wacky Wobblers.

Definitely seeing an uptick in the interest of Wacky Wobblers. I'm wondering if this has to do with the Spastiks and Wobblers being turned into Pops/Dorbz?

Speaking for myself, being a newer collector (2 years), I absolutely love the OG Spastiks/Wobblers Pops and Dorbz, and I'm interested in obtaining these OG pieces for my collection as well.

I've been going back to get some of the DC ones I need. While doing so I find myself wanting to pick up some of the classics on the really cheap. I hope they come back like the Pez seems to be.

If they make new ones of Superman and Wolverine I'd probably grab those.
Once I started collecting pops my wobbler interest plummeted a bit.

Supply and Demand. I collect SOME Wacky Wobblers, but very little appeal to me. I'm sure this is the same for a lot of other POP collectors. I have more desire to collect some of the new wobbler line, but they do have a higher retail point and are larger in size. Which for most collectors Space becomes a real issue over time.

I haven't been able to get into the wacky wobblers yet. Im sure it will hit me one day but haven't seen much of a like for them yet. Maybe I should buy just one and see where it goes. I might be shooting myself in the foot here but what do I have to lose besides my money.

I think it's also a chicken and the egg type thing...one of the barriers for me to getting into Wobblers is that they are much harder to come across (in the wild I think I've only seen at B&N and Target, and in very limited variety). If they were as ubiquitous as Pops or MM/PSH, you might have more people getting into collecting them. At the same time, it's very possible that they are harder to find because they don't sell as well. *Shrugs* I did buy a chrome base Greedo off of Ebay the other day, so I'm doing my part :)

There are a good amount of wobblers I really dig such as the freddy wobblers. However, only a lot of old timer collectors have wacky wobblers in their collections and pop is kind of what's "IN" right now so that's what the majority of people buy

I love the wobblers. I only have a handful: Wonder Woman and the Universal Monsters B&W set, which is amazing and wonderful. It's true, the detail on the Wobblers is amazing. They are just very impressive sitting on the shelf and really pop out when people look at my collection.

I'm not into the wacky wobblers (actually the new ones are kinda cool to me) but I was looking through funko simpsons stuff and found out I actually own one! I got the Homer computer sitter as a gift years ago and it's been on my bookshelf ever since. I've always liked it but now it feels special because it turned out to be the start of my funko collection.

For me, I'm one of those people who are trying to limit myself to only buying Pops at the moment. I've dipped my toes into a few Dorbz and PSH and I'm like noooo... too much! Then Funko comes out with more... like Snow White... aiii! So Wacky Wobblers is out of the question for me. Although I do agree on the detail it has over Pops and Dorbz. Very nice, that makes me wish I had room and $$ for.

I had an old Jason Voorhees bobblehead that I have had displayed for the last 5 years or so, I think its great. The other day I was looking at it and the cool detail in it then noticed the bottom said 2010 Funko. I never realized this was a wobbler! These things are really cool and I hope to pick up more as I come across them

I myself am not a fan of bobble heads. When I used to collect sports memorabilia I picked up a few and just didn't like them. I'm just glad that Funko hasn't made the DC mystery minis I collect, look like the little bobble heads I've seen on some of the Marvel mystery ones.

I'm thinking it's a combination of things.
POPs being more recognized and wobblers, not so much.
The flipper factor that's involved with POPs, certainly hasn't helped at all.
Wobblers also take up more space.

I only have a couple wobblers, but I want to think I got into the older Funko lines once they started making Spastik Dorbz. Once I got those... I added a few Spastik Plastiks to my collection and now I've been eyeing Wobblers.

I will admit, tho... I'm really only interested in original Funko characters. I personally don't like the design style on most Wobblers (I.E. The Walking Dead).
