Tuffy is the football mascot for Cal State Fullerton. I received the proto-type of Tuffy many months ago in a BOF... at the time I had no idea what it was... :)

Hey Al,
You can order the regular and Glow versions of the Tuffy Titan at NodderWorld.com.

I work at Cal State Fullerton and most of the Tuffys were pre-ordered by departments and offices around campus for promotional and marketing uses. Because we knew collectors would also be interested in them, we contacted the online vendors. Ron at NodderWorld was very supportive from just looking at the early sketches.

I know I'm a tad bit biased, but Tuffy is so darn cute! The sculpt for Tuffy completely exceeded the expectations of everyone at the university. We worked closely with Rob at Funko to help Tuffy take shape. This picture doesn't do him justice. Not only is he so addorable, he's also a really good wobbler. He's sits on so many desks at work and everyone comments on how he just keeps wobbling and wobbling.

We're thrilled with Tuffy! Hope everyone enjoys having this guy join their collections. GO TUFFY! GO!

I got my Tuffy set last night from Ron. When I took them out of their boxes this morning, I received an immediate overdose of pachydermal cuteness. Cornhusker, the folks at Fullerton and, of course, Rob, Brian and the Gang, have done a fantastic job with Tuffy!!! :smt023

This product exemplifies the Funko spirit. From the orange slice base to his goofy smile, crinkled up nose (trunk!), sculpted eyebrows and earlobes, to his cute little tail, toenails and his ever fashionable shirt - this little critter is a winner!!

And, Corn (if I may call you that), this little guy is pached  with energy. As you said - he just keeps wobbling and wobbling.

And of course, thanks to Ron at Nodderworld :smt038 for bring him to us non-Fullertonians.

Hey, Wild Bill - how about getting a few with Orange tails?? [-(

By the way.... anyone know what "preminent" means??? (check the bottom of your Tuffy) - my spellcheck doesn't recognize it.

Fellow and fellowess Funatics - you gotta get Tuffys!!

In closing, alls I've gotta say is....

 GO TUFFY! GO!

Oops! That one slipped by everyone. Yes, it should have been "Where learning is preeminent."

Its a bit of an inside joke that its there anyway. Several years ago the university president created a special committee (universities loves to have lots of committees) to review the University Mission & Goals. After a year of endless meetings (and yes, there was lots of naval gazing), the committee came back with new text for the mission and goals. And you guessed correctly, it begins with "Where learning is preeminent..."

The administration really loved it, especially the president. Over the years, he continues to suggest that it be used as a tag line or slogan for the university. But from the marketing perspective for the university, it really doesn't say much. It doesn't speak to a new student, an alumna or a perspective donor. Our marketing director has suggested the we could just as easily use the words of Emil Faber, founder of Faber College in Animal House. "Knowledge is good." And that's why those words from Animal House are on the top inside flap of Tuffy's box.

So that's the story behind the slogan. Thanks for catching the typo. We'll make sure to correct that on the next order of Tuffys.

Tuffy Titan is the mascot for Cal State Fullerton, which is most known for their baseball team.
The university dropped the fotball team in 1992. My favorite shirt of theirs read "CSUF Football--Undefeated Since 1992".
