Think these were from 2003..not sure of the event, but I know were limited to 48....

These were not made for an event. They were made by a fellow First Class HOFer with the approval from COF.

I love the print items of the early days. Too cool.

Mike Becker and company must have had too much fun back in the day creating all this stuff.

That card was printed by fellow OG Funatic, Jay Blumenfeld when he had his greeting card company, Smart Alex. He also had 4 Wacky Wobblers made. The card was included in the BOF for FFD in Vegas.

A very unique piece of the collection arrived today, the proto of the Freddy Circus Punk! Many variants were made of this Freddy Design in low numbers.
Circus Punks were sold by circuspunks.com & strangeco.com and are commonly known as those hairy dolls you used to knock over with a baseball at the local fair. A Funko HOF member ran and founded the company, making circus punks for people and companies such as Funko, LTJ, tokidoki, and Flapjack Toys.

Oddest funko thing for me would be my first Fundays i went to i got a proto that i wasnt to in love with but still liked it. On the sunday at sdcc i took a seat next to another funko collector who asked me if i got anything good. I had gotten a LE numbered pop from the stall but i was worryed it would get damaged.
The guy pulled out a pop protector and gave it to me. I was so greatious that i pulled out the proto and gave it to him saying i got it from fundays and i feel it would be better for him then me.
He was super happy and thanked me alot but the wierd thing came a year later.

Fast forward 1 year and im at sdcc again and i was able to get in the pop stand again. i got a couple of things and started walking around the con again and suddenly i got a tap on the sholder. The person asked me if last year i gave away a proto to someone. I said yeah i did and he told me that was a friend of his and he still has it. No idea how his friend picked me out but it was so good to hear that he still has it.

Yeah...for as big of a company as they are now, they have some very humble beginnings and seeing these artifacts about the journey to where they are now is fascinating.

Yeah. Seeing one-offs and could-have-beens is really neat. Funko has had an interesting road to where they are now.

My oddest piece has to be funko stationary. I received a tin with various erasers and pencils in them from lootcrate package almost a decade ago and never saw it again. Definitely the weirdest piece I have.

My only "oddities" would be an unopened can of corn from the contest one year, and cool Freddy Funko SDCC ringer tshirt from 2005 that someone threw at me from their booth during a flapjack eating contest. Sadly at the time I had no idea who Funko was and only stopped there cause I had a hankering for some flapjacks!

Yeah my unique stuff consists of a Pepto Bismol wacky wobbler that I got before I had any clue what Funko was and the Rastaclat collaboration bracelets given at 2019 Fundays. Im hoping to add more unique pieces soon hopefully

All do these older items are amazing. I’ve only been collecting a couple of years now and just when I think I know most of what’s out there, I see this thread.

I have a special share today that is apart of Funko history! The display piece I obtained was part of the front of the life size wacky wobbler photo op box display at the first fundays event at Sparkys at Universal CityWalk Hollywood on October 19, 2002! This display was introduced by having yellow paper over it hiding everything, everyone did a countdown before the paper dropped. After the countdown the paper was dropped revealing Mike Becker inside as well as all the Funko pieces!! All Funatics who were there had the opportunity to get a photo inside the box! The event was shown on ABC 7 news back in 2002 and featured in the Making Fun Documentary in 2018! I’m super honored to have this piece of Funko history!! Hope everyone has a great day and an awesome weekend!! Don’t forget to smile my friends!! \:D/
