KIDDING
Seriously though, unless the box is HUGE how can there -not- be a Hikari or two in it? It would take tons of their other merchandise to justify that price point. Hikari is all they offer in that higher price bracket. It just seems likely that there will be a Hikari, a Pop or two, maybe a Dorbz, and the typical filler stuff. Personally I'm always down for a Pop Ride, if they said there was a Pop Ride exclusive included I would be in. I wish they would give us some kind of clue what's in it.
I know you're right about the box size and how a Hikari makes sense but I'm really hoping you're wrong.

Re: MCC year 1 super box.
The Super Deluxe Vinyl are also big/costly. What about a white GITD Deadpool super deluxe? Or flocked Rocket. If they revisit the 9 inch Pop or a Dorb inbetween an XL and the 18 inch would be "worth it" also. Funko doesn't seem tone deaf to the fans, the Hikari didn't do well during SDCC 2015 so what do you see in 2016? They're bringing lower runs like 100-500 because that's the market for such an expensive figure. The exlcusive Hikari only went to ECCC which was their hometown convention, notice how there aren't any for Star Wars celebration this year? People spoke with their wallets, and if there is a Hikari inside I feel there would be a big uproar, not from me but the general consumer that has been subscribing to this box.

Re: MCC year 1 super box.
It's hard for me to tell the dimensions of the box. They said they were no longer making any 9" pops, but how about an 18" pop Galactus. That is the coolest thing I could come up with when I thought about it for all of three minutes. I'm not going to hold my breath, though.

Well that would be cool indeed
I have the grey version and love it, I would certainly clear some shelf space for a glow version!Valde wrote:the Hikari didn't do well during SDCC 2015 so what do you see in 2016?
Good point.
Valde wrote:and if there is a Hikari inside I feel there would be a big uproar
Yeah, surely they realize that. I mean I don't think people mind getting a Dorbz or mystery mini or mug or something else now and then, but mostly people are in it for the Pops and see most everything else as fluff and filler. If they lean on a Hikari to justify the price then there would no doubt be a pretty big backlash. It would be one thing if they came out and said what -type- of products were in it, if you knew it was a Hikari and 3 Pops for example then you could make the call on whether it's worth it to you. Or a Hikari and Pop Ride and Pop, or whatever it is. They could at least say that much without giving away the theme of each and it would still be a "mystery". It's just very frustrating trying to decide whether or not to buy it when there is zero info. I'm just loathe to spend that much on "a box full of random Marvel stuff"

Year ONE. I'd love some first appearance Pops! Like the original Avengers with the Gray or Gold bulky Iron Man, A 6 inch Hulk, original Thor, and mini antman. I'd be very happy with that plus extras.

Re: MCC year 1 super box.
Hmmm... Pop ride Helicarrier?
With Nick Fury and/or Maria Hill?
Have to admit I am still hoping for a new Hikari even if it's not the popular decision. I find the sales issues from SDCC & Celebration a bit misleading. I wanted to buy Hikari at SDCC last but they wouldn't let me despite them clearly being on the shelf and hours still to go in the day. They shut down sales in the early afternoon and that was it. I realize the pop folks go buts, get in line at 2am and come through like a hurricane but afterwards they could have kept selling a few things. I would imagine I was not alone in wanting to buy something but being told they were done for the day...

A Year One theme would be fun! Original Avengers & X-Men in particular would be cool.

Re: MCC year 1 super box.
125 is a little steep for me to buy something that I have no idea whats in it. I get thats the point that its supposed to be a mystery box but Ill take that gamble on the "regular sub boxes" that are by far cheaper at 30 bucks because at least I know theres a theme to it plus that I know a Pop! is coming in it (ecxcept for the GOTG box which I dont consider those pops
) Im going to pass on this even though Ill probably regret it but just dont have cash like that to burn so easily especially with SDCC just around the corner. Good luck to those who ordered!

Well it looks like it is gone. I ordered the Spiderman box this morning. Then, I looked to see if I could order the Year One box, and it was available. It is a lot of money so I decided to take a little more time to think about it. I just checked, and it is no longer under the Members Only Products section. That's what I get for not jumping when I had the chance. I hope everyone that ordered gets what they want.

Possibly. Look a couple posts above mine, Bob says he went to order it once but decided to wait, then he went back and didn't see it. Maybe it's just a glitch or maybe it's actually sold out.

Check to see if maybe it logged you out of the site while you were thinking it over. That site logs me out pretty fast if I am inactive, I want to say like 15 or 20 minutes? If the site logs you out then you don't see the Member's Only section until you log back in.

I already double checked. I can see the Members Only section. When I click on it, the only choice is Past Boxes. This morning there was a choice above Past Boxes. It said Exclusives (I think that is what it was labeled). Now that choice is gone. It is possible that something weird is going on. Also, I am not a founder so maybe they just made the box unavailable to non-Founders for some reason. Regardless, I cannot currently order the box.

Also make sure it's not already in your cart. When I bought mine yesterday, I had taken some time to decide after adding it to my cart. When I went back it wasn't showing on the left, but I still had it in my cart.

She checked about half hour ago if that. You're not a founder right? I think she is so maybe non-founders can't order now...but she definitely could put it in her cart to order.

Good to know. So maybe they made it available to non-Founders before they meant to? Or maybe it was selling faster than they thought, and they wanted Founders to have longer to even hear about it before it sold out. I don't know, but I will keep checking. I really appreciate you letting me know.

Bob, one last thought, and probably a stretch, but did you check your past orders to see if you maybe ordered it without realizing it? If you did, that would explain why it disappeared. I have done that before- set up a purchase, had second thoughts and did other stuff while thinking about it and went back to find I had already ordered it by apparently hitting the enter key with the page up or something
