Soda LE Counts: Lower or Higher?

Postby CryptoJenkins7 » Tue Nov 22, 2022 2:38 pm

I'm curious to hear people's thoughts on Funko SODA (and all numbered Funko Products for that matter) being numbered/LE/limited?

Do you prefer to see more lower count sodas (ie. 750, 1K, 2k), higher count (10k, 15k, etc.), or would you like to see no count on some sodas?

The trend I have been noticing is that recent mainline releases have had much higher LE counts, with the more recent Sodas being around the 12.5k LE mark.

Yes, I understand that Funko released images of the new Black Panther sodas with no count on the cans, but there is no official word from Funko of Soda not having a count.

So what are your thoughts? Curious to see what folks think about this topic!

I personally love that con exclusives have Low LE piece counts since that's what I feel like con exclusives are meant to be in my opinion and a "common" release of sodas to have a higher LE. Of course I would love for everyone to be able to get their hands on all the sodas they want

I definitely prefer lower soda count releases. Even if it means I can’t afford or get it

I don't care about piece counts. If it's a character I like I'm gonna buy it. Piece count doesn't matter to me. However a low piece count means its gonna sell out quicker or sell higher on the secondary market which makes it harder for a lot of people to get. Myself included. But I hope Funko continues doing what they've been doing with the soda piece counts and I didn't realize they didn't put the numbers on the new black panther wave :-k

I definitely prefer low soda counts, though sometimes
Its frustrating on not being able to grab it’s still fun to hunt for them.
I dunno I like being able to say I have chases under 1k counts in my collection. :D

Going to have to agree with others, I prefer the lower piece count. To me it’s just make them more desirable, now what I don’t prefer is the stress that goes along with lower LE’S.lol

I don't mind either way, just if I like the character or not.

I love the sodas and buy the ones I like. Some are cheap and some are expensive because of lower counts, just like pops.
But I'll get the ones I like, and unfortunately the Freddy Sodas are quite expensive. So that makes the road to getting them a slightly bit longer lol :freddy3:

I like the lower count sodas, especially for the convention exclusives. The obvious drawback is the higher price on the secondary market. I still have not been able to find Freddy Funko as Devil Candy Corn at a price I’m willing to pay. And, even though sodas in the fright night boxes were LE800 and LE1200, I would love if they still had chase variants.

The reason why I fell in love with funko was the community, the cool products, and that it was rare! I’ll take the Ls if it means we get more low low LEs

I like a mix. Con/fundays/shop exclusives I think should be numbered. Some general releases can be unlimited. Doesn’t bother me. I don’t think that would work with every character but I don’t think it should be 100% one way or the other. Exclusives having been trending to larger runs for quite awhile now.

I can get behind this. I think that anything that isn't considered a non-exclusive should be be lower count.

I'm a low kinda guy. It's just nice to have something that feels a bit more exclusive.

I think its a mistake to continue releasing runs into the 10k+

Sodas are also getting pumped out like crazy. People cant keep up and are losing interest.

I still buy what i like (character-wise) no matter the count.

But im nervous for the line. I think smaller counts was the way to go.

I like the low le counts so much more because it’s fun to know when you get a chase it’s only like a le 500 and less I just don’t like the new sodas that are 20k+ and the non le ones I still buy the 20k ones because the sodas are so cool like iron man but the non le ones are cool but won’t buy one for the fact it has no le to it.

If they continue with popularity though then it could be no different from pop production.
