Soda LE Counts: Lower or Higher?

Included with each SODA can is a 4.25” vinyl figure and a collectible disc both with a 1 in 6 chase variant!

I think having a count makes me want to get it quicker and by that I mean if its a lower count I usually don’t hesitate and if it doesn’t have a count sometimes I drag my feet on purchasing. It is nice though to be able to get it and not worry about selling out but at the same time having low count editions isn’t a bad thing either. :freddy2:

I feel pretty much on par with this response. The FOMO gets me with lower count

if funko would serialize things and make them verifiable like Figpin so many things would be solved. They could keep producing more in new editions and lots while leaving a low count for the 1st edition lot A.

Exactly how I feel. Low numbered exclusives are great, but you gotta see that having higher piece counts means more people around the world can enjoy them too!

Do you prefer to see more lower count sodas (ie. 750, 1K, 2k), higher count (10k, 15k, etc.), or would you like to see no count on some sodas?

The trend I have been noticing is that recent mainline releases have had much higher LE counts, with the more recent Sodas being around the 12.5k LE mark.

Yes, I understand that Funko released images of the new Black Panther sodas with no count on the cans, but there is no official word from Funko of Soda not having a count.

Low le sodas are my favorite ones I feel like funko has done better with lower le sodas then the no le ones that just came out.

I prefer a lower le count but it would depend on how they are distributed.

For me, it depends what the soda IS, to what count I'd like to see. I feel like there's a sweet spot for sodas where you have a decent chance to get one or two, hopefully a chase and common, and you're done. I don't like when sodas hang around long enough for me to go crazy buying multiples trying for a chase, but I also don't like when they're such a low LE that I completely strike out and feel sad. I think 10K is the highest I'd really want to see them go, to keep them special.

I like lower counts myself, but for big characters I understand why they go higher. I do wish the count was true in the sense that they may have LE 5000 for the US but then do another slightly different LE count for Europe. Makes it confusing.

Catch 22. If you can’t get the lower counts at retail, you will pay for it aftermarket. But sodas tend to be a smaller collector group so I think 5k-7500 is a good mix between LE and overproduced.

I'd definitely rather see lower than no numbers at all. No numbered takes away the hunting down thrill for me. Feel like the numbers are still high enough for people to aquire.

I like a good middle ground for LE numbers for sodas. Something around 5 to 8k. Obviously most are over produced because when I hit up a pop swap I can usually get a bunch for 5-8 bucks for the commons. I don't buy a lot anyway but the ones I do have nothing to do with counts.

Lower for me. It was exciting at first when they were 3k to 5k then went to 10 to 15k and more. Con exclusives should be around 1500 to 3000 max I think also.

Low counts. Better than large amounts and them sitting on the sites forever. Or no count and being opened at all the big retailers.

I dont care much either way but alot of what drives collecting is exclusivity. For con's at least i think it would be a good idea to keep the LE number low..

I’d love to see the numbers stay low. Right now you’re seeing some excess stock in stores. I hope they find that perfect production number to keep everyone happy
