Why do you collect funko sodas?

Included with each SODA can is a 4.25” vinyl figure and a collectible disc both with a 1 in 6 chase variant!

Hi everyone! I wanted to know why some people collect funko sodas and what sodas you'd like to see. I like them myself and I mostly buy the mickey mouse sodas cause my mom love mickey mouse. I personally would love some dragon ball sodas!

Honestly I collect most of the stuff I was a fan of as a kid for the sodas! TMNT, Scooby-Doo, etc!

Thus far I have one soda, Superman, lol.
Hoping they make Wolverine at some point.

Would also be interested in, the 10th Doctor, Ghost Rider, Silver Surfer, Nightcrawler and Freddy Kreuger.

I don't, well, I have the Banana Splits, and Freddy soda, but otherwise, soda hasn't interested me. I have too many pops that I really don't have room to invest in different forms of the same characters that interest me.

I collect them because they are so darn awesome! lol And I just love the look and the whole idea of the soda line. They’re just unique! Just like pops, our main line line for sodas are ad icons, motu, and Disney, and whatever I like. lol

I collect soda, because I like the thrill of opening up the can. I am just a sucker for mystery box type collectibles.

I love the design of the cans. Has an old timey feel to it. Without the can, I personally could take or leave the figure

I love that they are fun, of characters I like and don't take up much space.

I would love the 13th doctor and some myth creatures.

Cause they have a low space impact, lot of them are just great designs(sometime lazy chases), and the thrill of finding a chase. And some are easier to get then their Pop alternative.

I love surprises. Buying/Opening soda keeps that addiction in check. Maybe will see breaking bad soda in the future. Then I would have to have the complete set.

I had no intention of collecting the sodas...which lasted about 5 seconds after seeing their look and the characters they chose. The can art is a real draw for me, but the slam-dunk is the characters they chose to make - like Bat Fink, and Shoe-shine Boy, and Quake, and of course, all the Hanna-Barbera love. I really think this line is brilliant.

As far as sodas I'd like to see:

Please, Brian, finally give Sheriff Ricochet his sidekick, Deputy Droop-a-long. I also turned in a suggestion to Funko for them to make Courageous Cat and Minute Mouse--they'd make perfect Soda characters. I'd also be excited if they made Snooper and Blabber (the cat and mouse in my signature).

I started collecting sodas because I actually had a chance at getting a chase when I’m in the store at any time of day while the funko pop chases are nearly impossible unless you wake up super early.

That’s one of the main reasons why I collect them. In one storage bin I can store 40-60 sodas as opposed to 10 pops. :dontknow:

Ibhave really liked the soda's thus far! And they're smaller so you can fit more on a shelf and you don't have to feel bad about taking them out of their packaging since you have to open them anyway to see if you got a chase lol

I love the look of the soda can. Also, I feel like I have a legit chance at a chase. I feel with pops I won’t be there fast enough to get a chase of a pop I want, hence I just pay extra for them online.

I like collecting sodas because of how cool the concept is. As well as how you have the chance to get a chase for most sodas. Hoping we get one piece sodas!

Soda's have great quality. Initially I was drawn by the blind box concept. I enjoyed the rush of opening something hoping for the chase. Then after opening my first and seeing how great they look/feel in person, I was hooked!

Yes! It has it's moment of magic before the reveal. I usually avoid looking at the pog inside for a more dramatic opening haha.

I have a little over 20 now. I really enjoy the overall designs for the SODA lines. The mystery aspect of "will I get a chase or not?" drives my decisions among the series I collect.

I actually didn’t like them at first, they looked a little to cartoonish to me until I saw Samurai Jack. I had to get it, it ended up being a common but that was it, after that sodas started looking good to me and I got hooked.

No but seriously they are cool looking. From can to pog to figure the concept is excellent. Been buying them from the start though only the ones I like. They had me with Big Boy being part of the first wave.

I collect soda because I am a collector at heart and I absolutely love almost every funko product. As far as the soda product itself, I feel they are a better version of the mystery minis. They are a perfect size in my opinion, and I just love the form factor.

I liked the packaging they came in. Also reminds me the the old spastik plastik line they used to do in the tubes. Their is more detail on the soda figures compared to pops. Lastly Hunting them used to be more fun but with online ordering it kind of killed that part of it.

Lots of reasons really.

I honestly do really like the sodas. Sometimes each one having a chase makes it tough. Some characatures are better than others. For me though it's a room thing. My funko heart is still with pops. So really try to limit the sodas. I have the 4 turtles, a couple of the LOTR and Kirito from SAO. No real display honestly right now they are all in their package. Will have to figure something out.
