try not to collect too much as I was given Soda pops from Fundays. I'll most likely be selective on what I pick.

hailmary25 wrote:I honestly do really like the sodas. Sometimes each one having a chase makes it tough. Some characatures are better than others. For me though it's a room thing. My funko heart is still with pops. So really try to limit the sodas. I have the 4 turtles, a couple of the LOTR and Kirito from SAO. No real display honestly right now they are all in their package. Will have to figure something out.
Pops will always have a special place because that is how I got started, but I am starting to dwindle down my other items to make room for the sodas. They are just too good.

I love the packaging, and the chase to get the chase. Trying to collect the Pop lines I miss and now are at higher prices

I really like tp collect sodas because of the size. I am at the point were I have run of room for regular pops and they dont take up to much space and they are also really cute.

That's also why I keep so many pops in box, I just like how they designed the box also.

Because they don’t take as much real estate as the pops in their boxes. Heh. I’m running out of space >.<

If you need to move an item across the room, tip the sodas over on the floor and you can roll that item to the other side of the room.

I love the style of the sodas, I personally like them just as much as pops and at least we have seen some new things we havent seen with pops. I am getting tired of the blacklight repaints i can do without those

This so true. I think Sodas are the best products for them to come out since Pops. I think displaying them doesn't take up much space is a huge factor.

I like the idea of being able to get a chase but not knowing. I also enjoy the size and having the can and the figure to display. With pops you see a chase right away and they are tough to find. A soda no one knows so you may get one randomly.

These are like a better version of the mystery minis from back in the day. The mystery of a chase is there, but the container and size are so much better I think.

100% agree. I also love the packaging. Plus the fact that some of the chases are completely different molds is so cool.

Soda chases are done so well. I agree with that one for sure. Whoever came up with the soda idea deserves an extra big bonus for sure.

It was so tough to get a pop chase in the wild. Between funko hunters and stores keeping them for themselves. This just levels the playing field. I never try and go after for a chase, I buy figures I like and if I get a chase great.

Re: Why do you collect funko sodas?
I originally didn't want to collet the soda line. However after a bit they had some good characters that I liked and once I got my hands on them I loved them! I do like how the chase and common are different in generally a drastic way. As well they remind me of the mystery minis that Funko use to do, however you don't get characters randomly that you many not enjoy. Overall I think its a fun line to collect now.

Re: Why do you collect funko sodas?
It’s sadly (and quickly) getting to why DID I collect them, the lower price point (which is gone) and the limited runs (also gone) were 2 of the big reasons as well as the fact the character selection leaned more obscure ( also a fading aspect), so yeah they’re killing just about everything that I loved about this line pretty quickly.

Re: Why do you collect funko sodas?
I was interested in the large sodas when they were announced, so far I've only purchased one mostly due to the price point they have.

Yeah I try not to go after chase. Sodas thought I often go for two cans to hopefully get two can magic. If I get 2 commons, I just bring the second one to my work.
